Sree Bala Thirupurasundari Temple is located in the prime Surya Rao Pet area of Kakinada City. It is a gorgeous Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvathy in the name of Baala Tripura Sundari. The Temple has a two tiered Rajagopuram which is East facing. On entering the Temple there is a huge Dwajasthambam and next to it are a Thulasi Maadam, Bali Peedam with a Nandhi Bhagwan facing the Sanctum Sanctorum. All these are found in a four pillared Maha Mandapam with a tiled flooring. The ceiling of the Temple looks awesome with different paintings and there are four Yaali Idols on the four pillars supporting the structure. Though the Moolasthanam is East facing Devotees can enter the Sanctum Sanctorum through the South side. There is a Shiva Lingam in the Moolasthanam on which Divine water drips through a Panchaloga Vessel. The Presiding Deity is Sri Ramalingeshwara who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. His Consort here is Baala Tripura Sundari who is again an incarnation of Goddess Parvathy. Both of them are East facing to Bless their Devotees. The Koshtam resembles a Gajabrushtam and in the Koshtam Idols of Lord Natarajar and Chandikeshwarar. The Temple is supposed to be more than 200 years old but has undergone several renovations after it. To the left of the Moolasthanam is a modern multi storied building with AC facilities and Weddings could be conducted here with ease. The Temple Office also runs from this building. There is another Wedding Hall which is non AC but it looks more impressive with its gorgeous paintings, facilities etc. There are Sub Shrines for Maha Ganapathi and Sri Subramaniyar and both these Shrines are East facing. The Murugan or Subramaniyar seen here is a replica to that of Kukke Subramaniya Swami Temple in Karnataka. There is a Sub Shrine for Aadhi Sankarar too. In another complex there are Idols for Pandurangan, Raghumayee, Ayyappan and Surya Bhagwan.  The Temple has a huge Temple Chariot which is safely secured and kept in an enclosure. Just before the Temple Chariot an Idol of Maha Vishnu could be seen in a pillar. There is a Peepal and a Neem Tree close to which the Idols of Shiva, Ganapathy, Raahu, Kethu and Naga Devathas are kept. On eiter side of the Trees the Sub Shrines for Dhakshinamoorthy and Dattathereya. A Saraswathy Idol is placed in the Temple Garden and close to it a Yaaga Mandapam with four pillars could be seen. The Temple gains prominence since Lord Rama happens to seat Goddess Seetha on His lap which is similar to Bhadrachalam Rama and facing them is an Idol of His favourite disciple Lord Anjaneya Swamy. The Temple has a circular Ghoshala which looks so attractive to everyone, especially the kids. The centre of attraction in the Goshala is an Idol of Lord Krishna. In the inner wall of the compound several Idols of Goddess Sakthi is kept. The Temple has a multi coloured compound with gates. Opposite to the Temple is a huge Pushkarani or the Sacred Tank. The Sacred Tank too has a compound wall and within the Temple Tank a huge Idol of Lord Shiva is seen. The Temple does not have any car parking and Devotees coming here by vehicles ought to park them on the road side itself. The Temple is under the care of the State Government.

The most conspicuous part of the Temple is that on the Ugadi day and the next 5 days succeeding it Goddess Bala Tripura Sundari is decorated and worn with a Gold Saree and during this time several thousands of Devotees throng the Temple to have one glimpse of their favourite Goddess Bala Thiripura Sundari. This Temple is situated in Kakinada City and is well connected externally. Hence Devotees not only from Kakinada alone, but from all far flung places visit this Temple.
