Sri Mahalaxmma and Nagendra Swamy Temple is located in Palwancha on the Bhadrachalam to Kothagudem Main Road in Sanjay Nagar. A colourful Welcome Arch leads us to the Sub Shrines. There is a Sub Shrine for Goddess Muchallamma who happens to be the Grama Devatha. In the second Sub Shrine the Navagrahas are placed and Prayed. The 3rd Sub Shrine has enough of Naga Devathas and in the 4th Sub Shrine Sri Nagendra Swamy and a small Nandhi Idol has been kept.  All the Sub Shrines have temporary asbestos as their roofing.

There is a Dwajasthambam and a Bali Peedam facing the Presiding Deity.  A Golden coloured Idol of Srinivasa Perumal is kept near the Dwajasthambam or Kodi Maram. The Main Deity of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi is placed in the Sanctum Sanctorum beneath which they have placed the former Deity of Goddess Mahalakshmi and smeared Her with Turmeric paste and this is said to be Swayambhu. There are Idols of Dwara Baalakas on the threshold of the Main Deity and next to it is a Ganesha Idol made out of black stone. An Anjaneya Swamy Idol is also seen within the premises of the Main Temple. 

This Temple was built by the present Chairman K.Balakrishna 30 years before and from 1993 onwards he has been doing constructive works of this Temple. The localites who reside in Villages in and around Palvancha flock this Temple on all auspicious days since it is considered to bring Wealth and Health to all Devotees coming here and Praying Her. The Secretary of the this Temple is Mr.Challa Laxminarayana.
