Parnasala is a small Hamlet located in Kothegudem District just 35 Kms away from Bhadrachalam Town. There is a small Welcome Arch leading from the Main Road towards the Temple. This is the place where exactly Goddess Seetha sought for a Golden Deer (in those days this place was known as Dhandakaranyam Forest) and was eventually kidnapped by Ravana.

In remembrance of the same Sri Ram Temple has been erected on the banks of River Godavari and the Idols of Sri Ram, Seetha and Lakshmana are kept in the Sanctum Sanctorum and Prayed. There are several other Urchavamoorthis kept in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Idol of Hanuman is found just opposite to the Sanctum Sanctorum. A huge Sacred Pillar is found on entering this Temple. A model of the hut where Sri Ram lived along with Seetha and Lakshmana and an image depicting Ravana has been kept for the Devotees to see and understand. Beside it is a small Shivalayam and an Idol of God Shiva is found along with a Shiva Lingam. There is a Peepal Tree and a Neem Tree closeby and beneath these Trees the Naga Devathas and an Idol of Sri Ganesha could be seen. A Huge Banyan Tree is found and next to it is an Idol of Sri Hanuman. Most areas of the Temple have some sort of temporary roofing for the safety of the Devotees.

Mobile phones and photography is totally banned and the Devotees have to deposit their cameras and mobiles at a counter specially meant for it. There are rows of temporary shops selling all types of eatables and Divine products to the Devotees. A small car parking is made available for those coming by vehicles.
