The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Rathnagiriswarar who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Aralakesi.  In 1968 Hindus living here wanted a Temple and sought the Blessings of Shri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Maha Sannidhanam and on his advice this Temple came up. The Presiding Deity, Maha Lingam of this Temple was located on the shores of Bay of Bengal as per the guidance of Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswati Swamigal. The Sub Shrines for Lords Vinayakar, Valli Devasena Sametha Subramaniyar, Seetha Lakshmana Sametha Kodandaramar, Adi Shankarar and other Ghoshta Devatas were created as per the guidance of Sri Maha Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Peedam. The First Kumbhaabhishekam was performed in the year 1975. The Vimanam of this Temple is so unique that the Swami Vimanam is 5 tiered, Ambal Vimanam is 3 tiered and Sri Ramar Vimanam is 2 tiered.  Festivals like Pradhosam, Sri Rama Navami, Hanumath Jayanthi, Maha Shivarathri is celebrated in a grand manner.
