Tirumayam or Thirumayam is a place in Pudukkottai where the Temple of Sri Sathya Murthy Perumal is located. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sri Sathyamurthy Perumal or Sri Sathyagirinathan and His Consort is known as Sri Ujjeevana Thaayar or Uyyavandha Nachiyar. It is a Cave Temple with a South facing five tiered Rajagopuram. In reality there are two Temples closeby and they are 1) Sri Pallikonda Perumal and Sri Sathyamurthy Perumal. In recent years a wall was constructed between them to make it appear as two different Temples. In the Sanctum Sanctorum Sri Satyamoorthy Perumal is seen in a standing posture with Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. The Idols of Puruvara Chakravarthy, Sathya Maharishi, Thirumeyyar and Andal too are seen. In the peripheral there is a Shrine for Sri Ujjeevana Thaayar or Sri Uyyavandha Nachiyar. This Temple has Sub Shrines for Visvaksenar, Chakkarathalwar, Sri Ramar, Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar, Sri Poovaranga Perumal, Sri Krishna and Aandal. The Temple has a Pushkarani or Sacred Tank known as Chandra Pushkarani. This Chandra Pushkarani is Octagonal in shape and was excavated by Sri Murugappa Chettiyar. Since it is a Rock Cut Cave Temple there are several inscriptions dating back from King Raja Rajan I, Sadayavarman, Sundara Pandiyan, Parakrama Pandyan, Krishnadevaraya, Thondaimaans etc. Thilakappu is performed to the Presiding every 12 Years.  Festivals like Vaikasi Poornima, Car Festival, Krishna Jayanthi, Deepavali, Pongal are velebrated in a grand manner here.
