Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is located on the East Coast Road or ECR in a place called Injambakkam in Chennai. The actual Temple is located a few meters away from the ECR Main Road. There is a North facing Entrance and the first Sub Shrine is that of a East facing Ganapathy, Devotees may have to climb a few steps to reach the West facing Sub Shrine of a small Sai Baba Idol kept beneath the Neem Tree. Close to this is an East facing Sub Shrine of Dattarathreya and facing Him is a Nandhi Vaahanam. Next is a huge Sub Shrine in which there is a North facing Idol of Shiva, Parvathy and Durgai. Within the same Sub Shrine there are East facing Idols of Sri Rama, Seetha, Lakshmana and Maha Vishnu. The following West facing Idols too are seen in this Sub Shrine and they are as follows: Anjaneya Swamy, Krishna along with His Consorts Bhama & Rukmani and Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar. The Navagraha enclosure too is seen in this Sub Shrine. Then there is another East facing Sub Shrine of Sai Baba in which Devotees are allowed to light oil lamps.

The Sanctum Sanctorum of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba is huge. The Moolasthanam has to be reached by climbing 15 to 20 steps. The Presiding Deity of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba is seen majestically seated on a throne and is East facing. This Idol has been made out of a white marble stone. On either side of the Presiding Deity there are two sets of Divine Feet of Sai Baba. Devotees are sometimes allowed to circumambulate the Presiding Deity. There is a huge Meditation Hall beneath the Sanctum Sanctorum and Devotees are allowed to go down and Meditate there even for hours. The area opposite the Presiding Deity is neatly tiled and has a huge roofing under which several hundreds of Devotees could be seated with effortless ease. In another enclosure there is a huge Sai Baba beneath which a black Divine Feet of Sai Baba is displayed. The Dhuni too is found closeby where fire is supposed to glow all the 24 hours. Opposite to the Dhuni is a South facing Sai Baba Idol near which a grinding stone is seen. The rear end of the huge campus is a Wish Tree in which Devotees are allowed to tie a Sacred Thread or a Talisman so that their wishes are fulfilled sooner than later. Close to this Wish Tree is an East facing Sub Shrine of Gayathri Devi. The Temple complex houses several Images of Sai Baba beneath which a Wooden Palanquin is seen. In the outer peripheral of this Temple is an East facing Sub Shrine of Samudhraraj who is known here as Jhulehaji. Then is a North facing white Marble Idol Sai Baba beneath a Tree and He is known as Vaidhyanatha Sai. Devotees could circumambulate this Vaidhyanatha Sai to derive health benefits. The Temple has a huge function hall where Religious and Divine functions could be held. This Temple has a garland shop functioning within its premises. A Gift shop containing Souvenirs and Gift Items of Sai Baba too is seen. A small Hospital functions within the Temple premises. The Temple has a huge Kitchen which serves Prasadams to the Devotees. At one corner of the Temple premises is a light refreshment stall for the sake of the Devotees. The Temple has a free chappal stand. There are free vehicular parking spaces for two wheelers and cars. Vijaya Dasami, Navarathri, New Year Day are some of the functions that are celebrated with great fanfare. This Temple has become a landmark for the residents of Chennai and such is the Glory and Fame of this Temple. The entire Temple is covered by CCTV.

This Temple has been built on a whopping area but the Management of this Temple has enough of Staff and Security to keep the Temple spick and span on any given day for which they have to be appreciated.
