The full name of the Temple is Sri Amirthavalli Thaayar Samedha Sri Yoga Narasimhar Temple and it is located in Narasingapuram BHEL Area close to Ranipet. The Temple is located very close to the Main Road leading from Ranipet to Thiruvalam. The landmark to this Temple is a huge Green coloured Idol of Lord Hanuman facing the Main Road. This Temple is supposed to be more than 1300 years old. The name of the Presiding Deity is Sri Yoga Narasimhar who is an incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu. The Temple is East facing but there is no Rajagopuram. There is a Dwajasthambam and a Bali Peedam or a Neivedhiya Peedam at the outset. Unlike other Perumal Temples this Temple does not have a Garudalwar facing the Moolavar. Instead, this Temple has a Sub Shrine for Sri Anjaneya Swamy who faces the Sanctum Sanctorum. There are a pair of Dwara Baalakas before the Main Shrine. Sri Yoga Narasimha Swami is found in the Sanctum Sanctorum facing East. The peculiarity of this Temple is that the Sri Garudalwar who is not seen near the Dwajasthambam is found to be beneath (close to His Heels) the Presiding Deity. Another unique aspect of this Temple is that apart from the Presiding Deity of Sri Yoga Narasimhar there is another Narasimhar Idol within  the same Moolasthanam. Hence He is called here as Sri Irattai Narasimhar. The Urchavar of this Temple is known as Sri Azhagiya Yoga Narasinga Varadaraja Perumal  and He is flanked by Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. The other Urchava Idols found here are Sri Andal, Sri Krishnan, Sri Chakrathalwar and Sri Anjaneyar. Close to this are the Idols of Sri Ramanujachariayar, Sri Thirumangai Alwar and Sri Nammalwar. The ceiling on the roof depicts a Golden Lizard which is similar to Kancheepuram Sri Varadharaja Perumal Temple. His Consort Goddess Amirthavalli Thaayar is seen in another Shrine facing East and there is a Urchavamoorthy Idol for the Thayar in Her Shrine. The Idol of Goddess Aadhi Lakshmi too could be seen here.

There are Sub Shrine for Sri Thumbikai Alwar or Sri Ganapathy and Sri Chakrathalwar. The Naga Devatha Idols are found on an elevated podium beneath the Peepal and a Neem Tree. Usually in any Vaishnava Temples there is no Navagraha Sannadhi. This Temple is the only one of its kind to have a Navagraha enclosure within its premises. On the ceiling close to Moolasthanam a Serpent is seen all set to swallow the Moon and hence this Temple is considered as a Chandra Grahana Dosha Parihaara Sthalam. The Sthala Viruksham of the Temple is an Arasa Maram  and a Pennai Maram and the Pushkarani which is located opposite to the Temple is called as Narasinga Pushkarani. This Temple Tank is full of filth, weeds and plants and it has to be cleaned by the Government since it can never be used by any Devotee under the present circumstances.
