The History behind the Temple is that one Chennamma Naicker an ardent Devotee of Sri Krishna sent his Cows to graze and when they returned he found a Cow without any Claf missing. On searching for it he was astounded to see the young Cow feeding Milk to an Urchin. On going close the Urchin Boy gave Chennamma naicker His Viswaroopa Dharisanam and asked him to build a Temple on this Hill.
