The Temple is situated on the Mangadu Main Road in Moulivakkam in Chennai. The Presiding Deity is Lord Shiva as Sri Chandramouleeswarar and His Consort (Parvathi) is known here are Sri Mangalambigai. It was initially started with Lord Ganesha seated under a Naagalingam Tree and it could be still be seen here. Though small, the Temple is kept clean and most sculptures are colourfully painted along with the ceiling of the Temple. There are Shrines for Lord Ganesh, Dakshinamurthy, Vishnu, Brahma,Vishnu Durgai, Murugan and Chandikeshwarar. There is a seperate sannadhi for Navagraham and Nag Devathas. There is a sannadhi for Gnana Bhairavar too.Kumbaishekam was performed in the year 2004 and 2008. The Kanchi Mutt Pontiff Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal was gracious enough to visit the Temple during his period.Pradhosham, Kirthigai, Sankadahara Chathurthi, Theipirai Ashtami draws lots of Devotees.
