Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple is situated in a congested and a narrow street in a residential locality of Lenin Nagar in Ambathur. The Temple is claimed as Chinna Tirupathi but in reality it is an euphemism since the area is so narrow that even two wheeler parking is next to impossible. This Temple has dual entrances and the main entrance is on the West. There is yet another entrance on the South and both are equally narrow and congested. There is no Rajagopuram for this Temple. On entering through the West gate there is a Dwajasthambam and a Neivedhya Peedam beyond which there is a East facing Garudalwar Sub Shrine looking towards the Moolasthanam. There is a West facing Nagarajan Idol and Ganapathy Idol on either side of the entrance. Close to this is the Temple's Sorga Vaasal. Devotees entering the Temple through the Southern side may have to climb four to five steps beyond which there is a Anjaneyar and a Garudalwar Idol. The Sesha Vaahanam, Karpaga Viruksha Vaahanam, Surya Prabhai and Chandra Prabhai are seen. Next to it is a Bronze Gong which is tethered to a huge rope and the security guard of the Temple is seen pulling the rope to sound the bell during auspicious hours. There is a huge wooden board on which the Dasavathara coloured Idols are mounted and its fully covered by a glass pane. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sri Srinivasa Perumal who is seen West facing and in a standing posture. The Presiding Deity is huge and looks dazzling to the eyes of the Devotees. Close to the Moolasthanam is the West facing Sannadhi of Padmavathy Thaayar in a sitting posture and She happens to be the Consort. Facing the Padmavathy Thaayar Sannadhi are the Urchavamoorthy Idol of Sri Srinivasa Perumal flanked by Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. Between the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Sannadhi and Sri Padmavathy Thaayar Sannadhi is the Oonjal Mandapam. Other then these two main Shrines the other Sub Shrines are a conglomeration since there is a paucity of space and this is due to the fact that the Temple houses many Sub Shrines within a small area. There is an East facing Sub Shrine of Chakkarathalwar in which Yoga Narasimhar too is seen on the rear. Similarly an East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Rama is seen along with Seetha and Lakshmana. Facing the Sri Rama Sub Shrine is a West facing Sub Shrine of Anjaneya Swamy. There is a North facing Sub Shrine in which the Idols of the 12 Alwars are seen along with Sri Nithya Kalyana Perumal, Sri Ramanujar, Sri Desigan, Anjaneya Swamy and a Sudharshana Chakkaram.

The Temple has an East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Annapooarani. There are more East facing Sub Shrine which are joined together. In the first Sub Shrine Vinayagar is seen flanked by Siddhi and Buddhi. In the next Sub Shrine Sri Subramaniyar is seen flanked by His Consorts Valli and Devasena. In the last Sub Shrine Sri Ayyappa Swamy is seen in a sitting posture. Sri Ganapathy occupies an East facing Sub Shrine and in the Koshtam of this Sub Shrine is an Idol of South facing Veenai Dhakshinamoorthy and another Idol of Sri Vishnu Durgai which is North facing. There is a North facing Sub Shrine of Sri Renuka Devi Amman with a Simha Vaahanam before Her. The Navagraha Sannadhi is close to this. The Temple has Thulabaara facilities for the sake of  Devotees

The Temple has its Office and a Madapalli within its premises. At the rear of the Temple is an area in which functions could be conducted. The most distrubing factor was when a kid started crying and a person claiming himself as a Trustee came from nowhere and started hurling abuses at the mother and shouting her to remove the kid from the Temple and leave its premises. The other Devotees were astounded and shocked on seeing the rude and disgraceful behaviour of the Trustee. In a nutshell, the Trustees ought to be more dignified towards a Devotee, espicially when they are a woman and kid. Such rude behaviour would bring down the fair reputation of the Temple too. Such things ought to be sorted out in a more humane and passionate way. The Temple has a few rooms in the adjoining building in which Devotees could stay on paying. This is not a Temple run by the Government but instead it is managed by Bhagawan Naama Prachaara Charitable Trust.
