Sri Venkatesa Perumal Koil is located on Devi Kuppam Road close to Aroct Road in Radha Avenue, Valasaravakkam. It is built in a busy residential locality. The Temple is East facing and has a small Neivedhiya Peedam. It is a recently built Temple and hence not so conventional like other Perumal Temples. This Temple has a small East facing 5 tiered Rajagopuram. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sri Venkatesa Perumal who is an incarnation of Maha VIshnu and He is found East facing. The Urchavamoorthy too is Sri Venkatesa Perumal who is flanked by His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. At the threshold of the Moolasthanam are two Idols of Dwara Baalakas with Vinayagar and Vishwaksenar on either side of them. The Moolasthanam is dazzling with gold plates all around. On entering the Temple there is a Sub Shrine for Anjaneyar who is North facing. Likewise on the right is the Ramar Sannadhi in which Sri Ram along with Seetha and Lakshmana are seen South facing. In the left rear of the inner peripheral is the Sub Shrine for Goddess Padmavathy Thaayar and on the right rear is the Sub Shrine for Lakshmi Hayagreevar. Apart from these there is a Navagraha Sannadhi.
The Display Board kept on one side of the Temple portrays that this Temple is built on the private land of Smt.Radha Amma and that it is meant for the Members of the SVP Charitable Trust only. On the contrary it allows all Devotees to access the Temple and also accepts Cash and Donations from them. It had earlier allowed the Tamil TV Channel Pudhu Yugam to show the Moolavar along with all Sub Shines but now they have totally discouraged Photos within the Temple premises. The reason cited for this is believed to be the ongoing Legal Tussle in Courts between the Temple Trust and the Govt. This could be one of the reasons for such a lengthy explanatory display board kept on one side of the Temple. This Temple draws an overwhelming number of Devotees from all around it since this Temple happens to be located in a residential locality. There are several small vendors near the Temple selling coconuts, fruits, flowers and garlands. Since the Temple is located on the road two wheeler parking is too cumbersome and Car Parking is almost next to impossible. Tamil Purattaasi and Margazhi Months attract lots of Devotees.
This is a very rare Temple which does not allow Photography or Videos to be taken even in the flanks where the Sub Shrines are built citing flimsy Court Cases that is being pursued.
