Shree Harsiddhi Mata Temple is also known as Sri Harsiddhi Matha Sakthipeeth Mandir and is located in Jaisinghpura in Ujjain. This Harsiddhi Mata Temple has been built on the Banks of River Kshipra in Ujjain. Sri Harsiddhi Mata Temple can be accessed by the Devotees only by foot since no cars or autos can go anywhere near the Temple. This is one of the prime Temples of Ujjain and the Presiding Deity is Goddess Harsiddhi Matha. It is believed that KInd Vikramadhitya had built this Temple initially and he took keen interest in visiting this Temple as many times as possible. This Temple has four entry points on all four directions and one among them is the West facing entrance where Devotees may have to climb around 10 step to reach the level of the Temple Premises.

This Harsiddhi Matha Mandir gains enormous importance to the Devotees since it is believed that this was the place where the Elbow of Goddess Parvathy fell and hence it is considered as a Temple of utmost prime importance. Therefore by all means this Harsiddhi Mata Mandir is construed as one of the 51 Sakthipeets in India. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is known as Sri Harsiddhi Mata who is known for Her Benevolence and Omnipotence. Her Shrine in this Temple is East facing and Devotees may have to climb a few steps to reach Her Shrine and obtain Her Divine Blessing. In the East facing Sanctum Sanctorum there is a White Marble Idol of Sri Harsiddhi Matha who looks so Merciful to the eyes of the Devotees. Before this While Marble Idol is another facial Idol of Sri Harsiddhi Mata which is full of Turmeric and Kumkum making Her face appear so Divinely and Gorgeous. Facing Her Moolasthan is an Idol of a Simha Vaahan or Lion. The ceiling before Her Sanctum Sanctorum looks concave in appearence and Devotees can see the 51 Sakthipeets drawing on it. This Moolasthan has facilities for the Devotees to circumambulate. The outer walls of Her Sanctum Sanctorum has two Chariots driven by a Horse and a Goat and these are North and South facing. There is yet another West facing two Swasthik Symbols on its wall with a Trident between them.   

This Temple has an East facing Sub Shrine of Shri Karkoteshwar Mahadev who is seen in the form of an East facing Shiva Lingam. Facing this Sub Shrine is a White Nandhi Vaahan and outside the Sub Shrine is another small Shiva Lingam. Within the Sub Shrine of Shri Karkateswarar several gold embossed Naga Devatha Idols are seen. This Temple is well known for its West facing Sub Shrine of Shri Chintaharan Ganesh which is in a mullti pillared Sub Shrine. He is seen sitting on a Lotus Flower and there is a steady inflow of Devotees coming to His Sub Shrine to seek His Divine Blessings.

There is a huge tiled podium between the Sub Shrine of Shri Karkateswarar and the Sub Shrine of Shri Chinthaharan Ganesh. Several oil lamps are lit and kept on the podium and rose petals can be seen showered over this place. The most important and interesting factor of Shri Haaarsiddhi Mata Temple is that there are two huge and tall oil stands which are several meters tall. The Purohits and the Volunteers of this Temple make it a point to pour oil and light them in a natural way during the Twilight or Dusk. This is a 51 feet tall lighting Tower built during the grear Maratha period and in all a total of 1011 oil lamps are lit all over the Tower. To see several oil lit lamps on these to huge oil lamp stands is real treat to watch for any Devotees coming to this Temple. That time there is enormous number of Devotees and curious onlookers viewing this with great anxiety. This Temple is closely connected to the Kumb Mela festival conducted in India. Several lakhs of Devotees from not only Madhya Pradesh but all parts of India visit this Temple in great numbers during the Chaitra Navarathri and Sharadiya Navarathri during which time the Temple may even open as early as 4 AM. Watching the Aarti or the Oil Lamps glow dueing the Evening time is a great fun for the Kids and Devotees alike. This Temple is quite close to Mahakaleshwar Jyothirlinga Temple and due to this Devotees going there never miss this Temple or vice versa.
