This Temple is also known as Maharishi Sandipani Ashram and it is located in Mangalnath Marg of Ujjain in the State of Madhya Pradesh on the Banks of River Kshipra. This Sandipani Ashram was the actual Gurukul where Sri Krishna, His Brother Sri Balaram and His Friend Sri Sudhama or Shri Kuselar came under the tutelage of their Guru Sandipani. This Temple has a story of Guru Dhakshina. After the tutelage Shri Sandipani demanded Shri Krishna and the other two to retrieve His missing son. So for the sake of Guru Dhakshana Shri Krishna reached the house of Shri Yama Dharmaraj who is considered as the God of Death and brought back Guru Sandipani's son safely showing His immense Guru Dhakshana for His Master. This is the place were Sri Krishna mastered 14 Sciences or Vidhyas and 64 Arts in just a span of 64 days during the Dwapar Yuga. The Temple is located on the Mangalnath Marg and there is an East facing semi circular board depicting the Name of the Temple. 

To start with there is a Sub Shrine known as Sri Krishna Sudhama Balaram Vidhan Sthal. There is an East facing Sub Shrine in which the Idols of Shri Balaji, Shri Vamana Dev and Shri Narayanar are seen together. It is noteworthy to mention here that this is the only Temple in India where an Idol of Nandhi Bhagwan is seen in a standing posture facing the Sub Shrine. The Idols of Shri Thanthrik Shiva and Shri Uma Maheswar are seen outside embossed on the walls. The Temple has a North facing white marble Idol of the Presiding Deity, Sri Sandipani who was the Guru to Shri Krishna, Shri Balaram and Shri Sudhama or Shri Kuselar. The Idol of the wife of Shri Sandipani is also seen. Apart from this, the Temple has a lovely orange coloured of Sri Ganapathy.

The Temple has a separate Shrine for Shri Swayambhu Sarveshwar Mahadev who is seen in the form of an East facing Swayambhu Shiva Lingam and it is construed that this Swayambhu Shiva Lingam is more 6000 years old. A Divine Vessel known as Ushatharai is seen dripping Holy Water over the Shiva Lingam. Over seeing the Shrine of Shri Swayambhu Sarveshvar Mahadev is a West facing Idol of Shri Nandhi Bhagwan. The Temple has a lovely Pushkarani or Sacred Tank known as Gomti Kund and all the 64 Arts have been beautifully portrayed in the form of paintings which are self expalantory. There is another South facing Sub Shrine in the peripheral of the Temple and a Hut is seen there and sitting before the Hut and preaching is Shri Sandipani, the Guru and hearing Him are His disciples Shri Krishna, Shri Balaram and Shri Sudhama or Shri Kuselar. 

It is said that the 64 Arts were initially painted and kept here but later due to paucity of space all these 64 Arts were drawn afresh and installed in a more spacious ambience. Apart from the paintings of the 64 Arts there are several other paintings connecting to the Kurukshethra War. There is a North facing Sub Shrine which has white marble Idols of Shri Krishna, Shri Balaram and Shri Sudhama or Shri Kuselar. Another huge North facing Idol of Shri Krishna is seen and close tot his is a massive wooden swing. This Wooden Swing is put to Divine Use during Ekadesi Days. The Temple has a huge North facing Tree and close to this are the Idols of Shri Krishna, Shri Balaram and Shri Sudhama or Shri Kuselar. 

The Temple has its own Office within the Temple complex. Likewise there is a Divine or Spiritual Book Stall and a Prasad Counter located within the Temple complex. Entry to this Temple is free and Male Devotees wearing Pant or Dhoti and Female Devotees wearing Saree or Salwar Kameez with Shawl are allowed.
