Sivakasi is an important Town in Virudhunagar District. Sri Bhadrakali Amman Temple is located in Sivakasi. It is a landmark place in Sivakasi. This Temple was built in the 18th century and further developments were done in the subsequent 19th and 20th century. This Temple has a 110 feet tall seven tiered Rajagopuram which looks massive and could be viewed from quite a distance. Sri Badrakali is a South Indian God and a form of Maha Kaali. She is referred as Devi in Kerala and Kaali in West Bengal known to be one of the fierceest Goddess to kill to evil doers. Some say that Kaali was created by God Shiva to kill the Demon Dharuka. Even after slaying Dharuka Her anger did not come down and hence God Shiva had to dance before Her to cool Sri Bhadrakali's frayed tempers. 

The Moolasthanam in which the Presiding Deity is seen West facing where Sri Badrakali Amman is seen in a seated posture Blessing Her Devotees. The Presiding Deity of Sri Badrakaali Amman is fierce looking with three eyes and multiple hands. There are eight Sub Shrines of eight forms of Parvathy around Her Moolasthanam. There is also a Sub Shrine of Sri Heramba Vinayagar who looks a little aggressive than normal with an unusual five heads. There are Sub Shrines of Swamy Ayyappan, Sri Murugan, Sri Agoramurthy, Sri Nagarajar and Anjaneya Swamy. The Temple has a huge Pushkarani with the Neerazhi Mandapam at the centre. Full Moon Days, New Moon Days, Chithirai Pongal, Annual Festival etc, attracts a large number of Devotees from in and around Sivakasi since these are celebrated with a great fanfare.
