Nanganallur is a Southern Suburb of Chennai between St.Thomas Mount and Meenambakkam. Nanganallur has gained more importance since there are lot of Hindu Temples in Nanganallur and its surrounding areas. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sri Dharmalingeswarar or Dhanmeesar who is an incarnation of Shiva. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Sarvamangalambigai. This Temple is also called as Sempon Koil. Like many other Shiva Temples here too, Vinayagar, Dhakshinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma, Durgai and others can be seen on the Koshtam around the Sanctum Sanctorum. This Temple has Sub Shrines for Gods and Goddess like Naalvar, Bhairavar, Navagrahams,  Anjaneyar, Agora Veerabhadrar, Dhanmeesa Vinayagar, Arasamara Vinayagar and Murugan can be seen along with His Consort Valli and Devasena. Panguni Brahmothsavam, Pavitrotsavam, Chandi Homam, Mahashivarathri, Karthikai Somavaram and Skanda Shasti are celebrated in a grand manner.
