Nanganallur is a Southern Suburb of Chennai between St.Thomas Mount and Meenambakkam. Nanganallur has gained more importance since there are lot of Hindu Temples in Nanganallur and its surrounding areas. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Bhaktha Anjaneyar and He is 32 feet tall. The Idol of the Presiding Deity is made out of a single stone. Mr. Ramani was instrumental in constructing this Temple. This Temple was constructed by Sri Maruthi Bhaktha Samajam Trust.  In the year 1989 Sri Ragavendra Swami and Sri Kanchi  Paramacharyar entrenched the Idol of Sri Anjaneyar. This Temple also has Sub Shrines for Sri Rama along with Lakshmana and Seetha, Sri Ramanujar, Sri Vinayaka, Sri Krishna can be found along with His Consorts Rukmani and Satyabhama. It is believed that  the ailments of all Devotees visiting this Temple are cured. The Maha Kumbabishekam was performed in the year 1995. During Hanuman's Moolam Nakshathram Special Poojas are performed and Vada Malai is offered to Him. Prashadam are distributed to the Devotees during the entire Temple Hours. Everyday thousands of Devotees from Chennai City and other Suburbs visit this Temple.
