This Temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvathy. Here She is Known as Bhagavathy Amman in this Temple. It is located near Colachel in the Western coast of Kanyakumari District. This Temple is also called as Women's Sabarimala. Since this Temple is considered as Sabarimala women Devotees visiting this Temple carry Irumudi similar like how men carry on the way to Sabarimalai. This Sea Shore Temple in Kanyakumari attracts Devotees from both Tamil Nadu and Kerala. This Temple was built in Kerala tradition and it has very simple architecture. This Temple has two holy Trees one is Bo Tree and the other is Neem Tree. This Temple is administrated by Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department of Tamilnadu. Kodai Festival attracts huge number of Devotees from far flung areas during the March Month. The Bhagavathy Amman of this Temple is in the form of 15 feet 5 Tall headed anthill. and it is believed that this anthill is growing gradually everyday. The face of the Goddess is the Upper End of the anthill and there is Srichakra near the ant hill at the ground level. The Worshipping style is also unique since Devotees are allowed to cook non vegetarian Food in honour of the Goddess.
