Sri Alangaravalli Amman Temple lies in the village of Agathapatti near Kallikudi in Madurai District. The Presiding deity is Sree Alangaravalli Amman Goddess which is glorified by all local villagers cutting across caste and creed. This temple is now being taken care of by Mr.Shanmugham S/O Late Sivanarayanan for the past 25 years. Friday is very auspicious for this deity when several local villagers flock the Temple. Every Tuesday of Purataasi  Tamil Month is an important day here when Pongal is cooked and presented to the Goddess. Its followed by a short tour of the Goddess within all neighbouring villages for the next 2 days. A Cultural Night is also held when Tribal Song and Dance are held.
