A part of Guduvanchery is also known by the name Nandivaram. This Temple is located close to Guduvanchery Police Station and Bus Terminus. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sri Nandheeswarar and His Consort is known as Soundaryanayagi. This is an East facing Temple with a Welcome Arch atop the gate on the Southern side. In the East facing Moolasthanam Sri Nandhiswara Swamy who is an incarnation of Shiva is in the form of a Shiva Lingam. Around the Koshtam of the Moolasthanam there are Idols of Narthana Vinayagar, Dhashinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma, Durgai and Chandikeshwarar. The Temple's inner peripheral has Sub Shrines of Valampuri Vinayagar, Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar, Gajalakshmi, Bhairavar, Veerabadra Swamy and Surya Bhagwan. This Temple has an exclusive Shrine for Goddess Soundaryanayaki who is seen in a standing posture. The Temple has a Sub Shrine for Perumal and a Navagraha Sannadhi. 

It is believed that this Temple was built by King Nandhi Varman of Pallava Dynasty in the year 715. The Sthlaa Viruksham of this Temple is Nagalinga Maram. The Temple has an exclusive Pushkarani or Sacred Tank and having a holy dip here on Mahalaya Ammavasai Days is considered very auspicious.
