Sri Neelakandeswarar Temple is located in a small village near Guduvancheri. The exact location of Neelamangalam is that it lies equidistant between Guduvancheri and Padappai in Chengalpattu District. Though small the Power of the Presiding Deity of Sri Neelakandeswarar reigns Supreme. The Temple is surrounded by lush green agricultural lands thereby leaving a calm atmosphere in the minds of Devotees visiting here. This Temple has a Welcome Arch where we can see Lord Shiva sitting along with His Consort Parvathi and Sri Ganesha and Sri Murugan on the either Side. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Neelakandeswarar and He is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He is found in the form of a Divine Shiva Lingam. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Neelayadakshi Ambal. There is a Nandhi Vaahanam facing the Sanctum Sanctorum. Though its an ancient Temple it is well maintained till date. This Temple has separate Shrine for the Presiding Deity and His Consort. There are Sub Shrines for Naalvar, Kanni Moola Ganapathy and Murugan along with Valli and Devanai. Around the Koshtam there are Idols for Ganapathy, Dhakshinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma, Durgai and Chandikeshwarar. Apart from this there is a Navagraha enclosure too. Purattasi Navarathri, Aavani Moolam, Chithirai Vishu, Aadi Thapasu, Thaipoosam, Panguni Brahmmothsavam, Pradosham, Maha Shivarathiri, Thei Pirai Ashtami, Panchami are the festivals that are celebrated in a grand manner.
