This Temple is located in a desolated place at one corner of Vandranthangal, a village near Katpadi.  The Presiding Deity is Sri Mahalingeshwarar who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva.  He is found as a Maragatha Lingam made out of Emerald and sparkling green in colour in the Sanctum Sanctorum of this Temple.  Facing the Sanctum Sanctorum is a Black Nandhi Bhagwan along with a Bali Peedam.  Many Devotees say that this Maragadha Lingam could be more than 1000 years old.  On one side of the Sanctum Sanctorum is another Sub Shrine for the Consort of Sri Mahalingeswarar.  She is known as Goddess Parvathavarthini and is an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi.   There are Sub Shrines for Vinayagar, Narthana Ganapathy,  Dhaksinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma, Chandikeshwarar, Sri Durgai, Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar.  At the rear of the Temple there is an exclusive Sub Shrine for Naga Devathas.  Facing the Sanctum Sanctorum and quite opposite to it is an enclosure for Navagraham and Kala Bhairavar. Very soon the Temple Administration under Sri.Kannan have decided to construct a Sacred Tank or Thirukulam at the rear of the Temple.  A Meditation Hall or a Dyana Mandapam has been built with glass panels and looks very attractive. The Temple has a compound wall on all four sides with a  sliding gate.  The sliding gate is etched with the Images of two Nandhi Bhagwan on 2 sides and the Maragathalingam in the centre. Annadhanam and Prasadam are distributed to all Devotees coming here.  This Temple is built in a private land and the entire Temple and its premises belongs to the Land Owner R.Kannan.
