Sri Aadhi Kesava Perumal Temple is located in a village called Kaatu Parur which is actually in Cuddalore District but it is much closer to Virudhachalam. This is a East facing Temple with a 5 tiered Rajagopuram. The front side of the Rajagopuram and all the area within the Temple premises are covered with tin sheet roofing to save the Devotees from the vagaries of nature. Beyond the Rajagopuram is a tall Dwajasthambam or a Kodimaram and a Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam. There is a coloured Temple Gopuram in which Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Ranganatha Swamy along with Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi, Sri Garudan, Sri Anjaneyar, Sangu, Chakkaram, Thirumann Sri Churnam, Sri Ghoshala Krishnan and Sri Andal's coloured Idols are neatly displayed.

In the Maha Mandapam there is a black Garudalwar Vigraham facing the Moolasthanam. At the entrance of the Sanctum Sanctorum are two huge black coloured Idols of Dwara Balakaas and close to one of the Dwara Baalaka is a small Sri Ganapathy Idol. In the East facing Sanctum Sanctorum Sri Adhi Kesava Perumal is seen as a Linga Roopam instead of a Human form. He is considered as a Swayambhu or Self Manifested. It is believed that several centuries ago when villagers were digging up the Earth their shovel struck the Idol of Swayambhu Sri Aadhikesava Perumal. He was excavated and brought out and the Villagers built a Temple around Him. This Swayambhu Sri Aadi Kesava Perumal's Idol was dug and brought out from Mother Earth on a Sunday. Therefore all Sundays are considered as auspicious in this Temple unlike other Perumal Temples in which Saturdays are considered to be auspicious. The Urchavamoorthi Idol of Sri Aadi Kesava Perumal along with Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi, Venugopalan along with Radha and Rukmani, Sri Kaalinga Narthana Gopalan, Sri Chakkrathalwar, Sri Anjaneyar and Sri Thirumangai Alwar Idols which are all South facing have been safely kept nearby. The Consort of Sri Adhi Kesava Perumal is known as Sri Vedavalli Nachiyar. This Temple has an exclusive East facing Shrine for Sri Vedavalli Nachiyar who is seen in a sitting posture. The Urchavamoorthy Vigraham of the Thaayar is kept beneath Sri Vedavalli Naachiyar's Idol.

In the outer peripheral there is a small West facing Sri Anjaneya Swamy Sub Shrine and He is seen in a standing posture. This Temple has an exclusive Sorga Vaasal. Close to the Temple is the Temple's Pushkarani or Sacred Tank. Closeby is a pair of Divine Feet and this is construed to be that of Yogi Vemmanna. Devotees visiting this Temple never fail to pay their respects at the Divine Feet of Yogi Vemmanna who had sung several songs many centuries ago praising Sri Adhi Kesava Perumal. It is also believed that the Devotees coming to this Temple get relieved of all their physical ailments. The Temple has it's own Chariot which is safely enclosed and kept just outside the Temple premises. The Temple has facilities for Thulaabaaram. Vaikasi Brahmmaothsavam, Aani Brahmmothsavam, Navarathri, Margazhi Brahmmothsavam, Vaikunda Ekadesi are celebrated in a grand manner.
