Sri Pidari Ilankaliamman Temple is located in Saidapet close to Saidapet Police Station. It is a landmark of Saidapet and a Village Deity or a Kula Deivam of people living in and around Saidapet, Mambalam areas. This is a North facing Temple but Devotees can enter this Temple only through the gate on the Western side. There is no Rajagopuram to this Temple. The Gopurams of this Temple have coloured Idols of Ilan Kali Amman seated on a Lion and on either side of this there is an Idol of Lakshmi and Saraswathi. The Gopuram also has coloured Idols of Sapthamathas. This Temple has South facing Sub Shrines of Hanuman, Panchamuka Vinayagar and Bhairavar looking towards the Moolasthanam. The Temple premises has a Viruksham known as Arasa Maram and there is an East facing Sub Shrine in which the Idols of Sri Arasamara Vinayagar, Nagarajar and Nagakanni are seen. On the Northern side of the Arasa Maram is a huge Anthill and Childless Couples who are Blessed with Kids through the grace of Sri Pidari Elankaliamman tie a wooden cradle to this Arasa Maram as a mark of respect. To the East of this Arasa Maram is a Sub Shrine and on top of its Gopuram a coloured Idol of Putru Amman could be seen in a standing posture. Within this East facing Sub Shrine the Idols of  Vinayagar, Rahu and Kethu are seen.

There is a Maha Mandapam leading to the Moolasthanam and the Temple authorities have placed a Divine Trident facing the Amman. The ceiling of this Maha Mandapam is gorgeously coloured with different paints. On either side of this Mandapam there are two North facing Dwara Baalakis who are seen in a standing posture. Facing the Santum Sanctorum is a Neivedhya Peedam or a Bali Peedam. On the threshold leading to the Moolasthanam an Idol of Ganapathy and Palani Andavar could be seen facing North. The entire threshold is carved with gold platings and they have etched two Images of Dwara Baalakis who are believed to guard the Moolasthanam. In the Sanctum Sanctorum the Omnipotent Presiding Deity of Sri Pidari Ilan Kaliamman is seen North facing and in a sitting posture. She looks resplendent and dazzling to the eyes of the Devotees. The Idol of the Presiding Deity has been made in recent days but the Temple authorities have placed the former smaller Idol of Sri Pidari Ilan Kali Amman close to the Main Deity. The Urchavamoorthy Idol is also placed within the Sanctum Sanctorum. Around the Koshtam of the Presiding Deity the Idols of Sri Varahi Amman, Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Saraswathi and Sri Durgai Amman are seen. The Maha Mandapam adjacent to the Moolasthanam has beautifully painted colour pictures of Andal, Anjaneyar and Dhakshinamoorthy which makes the Divine Ambience awesome.

The Temple's outer peripheral has a West facing Sub Shrine of Sri Maha Ganapathy and there are two Elephant Idols on either side of this Shrine. Around this Koshtam there are three different Vinayagar Idols. Next to this there is a West facing Sub Shrine of Sri Subramaniyar and He is flanked on either side by His Consorts Valli and Devasena. This Sub Shrine has two similar Elephant Idols near the steps. Around the Koshtam of this Sub Shrine there is a North facing Brahmma Idol, an East facing Maha Vishnu Idol and a South facing Dhakshinamoorthy Idol. The Sub Shrines of Sri Maha Ganapathy and Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar have the Urchavamoorthy Idols in them. The Navagrah Sannadhi at the rear end of the Temple is slightly different from those of other Temples since the Navagraha Idols are placed on a Hexagonal podium. Facing these three Sub Shrines is a Gopuram on which Pallikonda Ranganathar is seen beneath the Aadhi Seshan along with Sri Devi, Bhoo devi and Brahmma.

The Temple has a Annadhana Koodam and a Madapalli or Temple Kitchen and there is an Idol of Sri Annapoorani in this Annadhana Koodam. Tamil Aadi Month, Navarathri are some of the festival that are celebrated with great fanfare.
