Sri Saradhambal Temple is located in Varadarajpet Main Road in Minor Trustpuram of Kodambakkam, Chennai. There is an East facing seven tiered Rajagopuram but Devotees may find it hard to park their vehicles in this narrow road. Instead Devotees coming to this Temple by Vehicles could enter nearby Meenakshi College gate and park their Vehicles there and enter the Temple through Meenakshi College. Devotees entering the Temple may have to climb 12 to 15 steps to reach the Temple premises. Facilities exist for the weak and elderly to make use of the ramp meant for this purposes instead of climbing the steps.
At the outset there is a huge Meditation Hall which is East facing. This huge Meditation Hall has a sparkling floor and is pillarless. There are 9 Portraits in the Meditation Hall pertaining to Sri Sharadambal, Sri Aadhi Shankarar, Sri Sachidanandha Bharathi, Sri Vriddha Narasimha Bharathi, Sri Sachidananda Shiv Abhinava Narasimha Bharathi, Sri Chandrasekara Bharathi, Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Mahaswamy, Sri Bharathi Theertha Maha Swamy and Sri Vidhusekara Bharathi and they all belong to the Sringeri Mutt. Devotees can sit in this Meditation Hall in great numbers and can Chant Slokas or Meditate.
To reach the next floor there are two options for the Devotees, they could choose to climb the staircase or reach the next floor through the ramp. This floor too consists of a huge Hall with three East facing Shrines. At the outset there is an East facing Shrine of Sri Maha Ganapathy who looks splendid to the eyes of the Devotees. The Urchavamoorthy Idol of Sri Maha Ganapathy is also seen in the Shrine. Devotees can circumambulate this Shrine. The centre Shrine is that of the Presiding Deity, Sri Sharadhambal. She is seen East facing and in a seated posture. The Urchavamoorthy Idol of the Presiding Deity of Sri Saradhambal is also seen in this Shrine. She is believed to be the Kula Deivam of Sri Adhi Sankarar. Between the Shrine of Sri Maha Ganapathy and Sri Saradhambal they have erected a temporary podium on top of which is a White Marble Idol of a centrally seated East facing Sri Adhi Shankarar. Flanking Him on either side are the cut out portrait of Sri Bharathi Theertha Maha Swamy and Sri Vidhusekara Bharathi Maha Swamy. The third Shrine is that of Sri Venkatachalapathy who is seen East facing and standing alone. He looks dazzling when seen in the black Vigraham. The Urchavamoorthy Idol of Sri Srinivasa Perumal is seen flanked by His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi in this Shrine. All the aforesaid Shrines has the facilities to be circumambulated by the Devotees. This Hall which comprises of three Shrines of this Temple could effortlessly hold a few hundreds of Devotees.
