The Temple is located in Govindan Road in West Mambalam, Chennai. A small Temple Arch welcomes the Devotees. The Presiding Deity is an East facing Sri Aadhi Chennakesava Perumal who is an incarnation of Maha Vishnu. The Consort of Sri Aadhi Chennakesava Perumal is Sri Senkamalavalli Thaayar. The Shrine of Sri Sengamalavalli Thaayar is East facing. It is believed that Madhavchar a Devotee of Maha Vishnu had built this Temple. This Temple is supposed to be more than 1000 years old and visited by Saint Sri Ramanujar.  Vinayagar, Baktha Anjaneyar, Ramanujar, Garuda Alwar and Manavala Maamunigal have separate Shrines here. The East facing Sri Sudharshana Alwar or Chakkarathalwar and the West facing Yoga Narasimhar are found together in a Shrine. There is an Arasa Maram beneath which several Nag Devthas are kept.  An Oonjal (Swing) facility is provided in a Vasantha Mandapam. Navarathiri, Panguni Uthiriam and Vaikunda Ekadesi draws lots of Devotees. The Temple has a seperate Madapalli (Kitchen) and Prasadam to Devotees is regularly given.  A mini Temple Tank is available too.
