The Preisding Deity is Goddess Iraniamman and the Temple is located on the GST road in Vandalur on the outskirts of Chennai. It is believed that this Goddess is Self Manifested and is around Hundred years old. The Standard Motors company which was there earlier managed this Temple very well during their time. This Goddess is revered by the crew of all vehicles plying on this road. Many Travellers stop their vehicle here and pray before the Goddess.  Lemon, Coconut and Pumpkin are their favourite offerings.  All Ammavasai days and the entire Tamil month of Aadi are very auspicious for Goddess Iraniamman.  Apart from Goddess Iraniamman there are Idols for Lord Murugan and Lord Ganapathy on either side of the Sanctum Sanctorum. Flower Vendors too are available next to the Temple.  Many people who buy new vehicles come here with them and offer their Pooja before this Goddess.  It is believed that this Goddess saves all Travellers and vehicles plying on tis road.  Hence it is heartening to see nott  only local traansports but other inter state vehicles too who stop here and offer prayers before leaving.  This ensures that these worshippers return to their home town very safely.
