This Temple is located in a small village called Rathinamangalam on the Southern outskirts of Chennai city beyond Vandalur. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Araikasu Amman and She is an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi. She can be found in a sitting posture with four hands and each hand holding a Trident, a Pasam and an Angusam. Goddess Araikasu Amman is decorated using a Naga Kreedam with a Cresent Moon. There are 108 other Amman Deities installed around this Temple for Devotees to offer their Prayers. The Presiding Deity is always dressed in yellow Vastras. Lion is considered as the Vaahanam of Goddess Araikasu Amman and a Lion's Idol can be seen before the Sanctum Sanctorum. It is believed that worshipping the Mother Goddess will help in finding the missing family members. The normal practice followed in the Temple is that when a Prayer of the Devotee is answered and fulfilled the Devotee makes a Vinayaka Idol out of jaggery. Then ginger is mixed with jaggery water and this is offered to the Presiding Deity as Neivedhiyam.. Annual Abhishekam during Aadi and Purattasi Navarathri is celebrated in a grand manner in this Temple.
