The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Jambulingeshwarar who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Akilandeshwari Ambal. Lord Jambulingeswarar can be seen as a Self Manifested or Swayambu lingam. There are separate Shrines for Lord Jambulingeswarar and Goddess Akilandeshwari Ambal. This Temple has a five tierd Rajagopuram and is surrounded with a tall compound wall. There is no Flag Staff or Dwajasthambam in this Temple. There is an Idol of Nandhi and a Bali Peedam facing the Sanctum Sanctorum.  Around the Sanctum Sanctorum of this Temple Idols of Lords Ganesha, Dakshnamoorthy, Vishnu, Brahma and Goddess Durga can be seen. This Temple has Sub Shrines for Lords Maha Ganapathy, Subraminaya along with Valli and Deivanai, Ayyappan, Saneeswaran and Navagraha. In the Ardha Mandapam Idols of Utsava Moorthy of Natarajar and Sivakami can be seen. Another unique factor of this Temple is that the Bronze Idol of Kanchi Paramachariya can be seen inside the Shrine of Goddess Akhilandeshwari. This is the only Temple in Tamil Nadu to have Veda Vyasa Thapovanam. There is a Sacred Tank inside the Temple complex.
