Yercaud is a well known Hill Station of Salem District. This Temple is located in a picteresque ambience of Yercaud and Shervaroyan Hills amidst the  coffee plantations, spice plants and orange trees all around. This Temple is located on a place called Thalaisolai village which is nearly 8 Kms away from Yercaud Lake. This Temple is built at a height of more than 1400 mean sea level. The Gopuram of this Temple and the Idols seen in the Sub Shrines look eye appealing with their gorgeous colours.

The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sri Annamalaiyar and He is an incarnation of God Shiva. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Sri Unnamalai Amman. There is a red coloured Pyramid shaped Lamp Tower. This Temple gives a panoramic view of the entire Yercaud Hill Station. Pradosham and Mahashivarathri are celebrated in a grand manner. The Temple's Gopuram looks splendid with diverse colours. There is a Lamp Tower here and its really awe inspiring to view this Temple on full moon days when there is an overwhelming number of Devoteees. The location of Sri Annamalaiyar Temple is slightly away from the main area and there is no public transports to reach this Temple. Therefore Devotees and Tourists who wish to see and visit this Temple are requested to come by their own vehicles or engage a auto or some other private vehicle to reach here.
