This Temple is also known as Arulmaakadal Perumal Temple and located in Thirusirupuliyur. It is one among the 108 Divya Desam. The Presiding Deity is Lord Vishnu who is in the form of Sthala Sayana Perumal in a Sayana Kolam or Reclined posture facing the South direction. His Consort is Goddess Lakshmi as Thirumaghal Nachiyar. This God is also known here as Saranagatha Rakshaka Perumal or Kripa Samudra Perumal in Sankrit. It has been glorified in Nalayira Divya Prapandam. It is believed that the two divine vahans of Lord Vishnu viz Garuda and Aadhisesha had a fight between themselves. Then, Lord Almighty took the side of Aadhisesha since Garuda seemed to be bit arrogant. This Temple which has been built in a typical Dravidian style has a five tired Rajagopuram. There is a Temple Tank in it’s vicinity called as Manasa Pushkarni and the Tower above the Sanctum is known as Nandha Vardhana Vimanam. The Temple celebrated it’s 10 day Brahmatsovam in a grand manner thereby attracting lots of Devotees.
