Vaduvur Sri Kothanda Ramar Temple is East facing. The Temple has a small 5 tiered Rajagopuram which is totally hidden by a tin sheet roofing. On entering the Temple there is a gorgeous multipillared Mandapam to the right of which is the Ahobila Madam. Here Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar is seen South facing and close to His Sannadhi is an Oonjal or a Divine Swing. Behind Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar is Sri Chakkrath Alwar. A Kannadi Arai or a Divine glass room is found in the same Abhobila Madam. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Ramar who is the seventh Avathar of Lord Vishnu. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Seetha Devi and His brother Lakshmana. Lord Rama is known as Kothandaramaswamy. This Temple is known as Dakshina Ayodhya or Ayodhya of South India.This Temple is considered to be one of the Abhimana Sthalams of Lord Vishnu. The Temple's Urchavamoorthy is loved by one and all since He has a Divine Smile in His lips which makes Him look so captivating. It is believed that this Temple was built by Raja Saraboji of Thanjavur Maratha Kingdom. This Temple has Sub Shrines for Hanuman, Hayagrivar, Desigar, Vinayagar, Nammalalwar, Bashyakar, Manavala Maamunigal, Viswaksenar, Saint Andal and other Alwars. There is a Shrine for Lord Krishna in the front Mandapam. Here Lord Krishna is known as Venugopalan and He is found along with His Consorts Rukmani and Sathyabama. A Golden Garudalwar Vaahanam impreses the most here. There is a huge Sacred Tank which is named as Sarayu Theertham and the Sthala Viruksham is Magizha Maram or Vagula Maram. This Temple has a huge Vimanam known as Pushpaka Vimanam. There is a South facing Sorga Vaasal or Paramapatha Vaasal. The Temple has an exclusive Ghoshala and a Temple Kitchen for distributing of Prasadams. At the street corner of this Temple is a Sub Shrine for Hanuman and He is known here as Sri Rama Baktha Hanuman. A Temple Chariot is kept close to this Sub Shrine. Sri Rama Navami, Hanumath Jayanthi, Narasimha Jayanthi are some of the festivals celebrated here in a grand manner.
