Sri Kalyana Siva Subramanyar Temple in Senneerkuppam is also known in recent days as Then Palani Murugan Temple. The Temple is located at quite some distance away from the road leading from Poonamallee to Avadi. The Temple is located in a narrow residential locality of Senneerkuppam. The Temple is East facing but does not have any Rajagopuram. There is an East facing display board of Sri Then Palani Murugan Temple and to the rear of it is an East facing Gopuram. This East facing Gopuram has a coloured Idol of Sri Valli Devasena Samedha Sri Subramaniar and flanked by two Peacock Idols on either side. Though the Temple is small it is packed with different Idols making it look impressive. On entering there is a Spear or Vel, a Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam and a West facing Mayil or Peacock Vaahanam looking towards the Moolasthanam. At the doorsteps of the Moolasthanam are two coloured Idols of Dwara Baalakas who are seen holding a Spear and a Mace and they are supposed to guard the Moolasthanam. The Presiding Deity of Sri Kalyana Siva Subramaniyar is seen East facing and flanked by Valli and Devasena on either side in the Sanctum Sanctorum. He is seen in a standing posture holding a Flag and a Spear or Vel. The Urchavamoorthy Idol of Sri Kalyana Siva Subramaniyar along with His Consorts Valli and Devasena are seen within the Sanctum Sanctorum. Around the Koshtam of the Moolasthanam are the Idols of a South facing Sri Dhakshinamoorthy, a West facing Sri Maha Vishnu and a North facing Sri Durgai Amman.
The inner peripheral of the Temple has a North facing Sub Shrine of Sri Sangili Karrupaswamy who is seen in a standing posture and He is seen holding a Sickle or Veecharuvaal. Then is the North facing Sub Shrine of Sri Sapthamathas or Saptha Kannigaigal. Close to this is another North facing Sub Shrine in which the Naga Devatha Idols are seen. The Temple has a huge East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Selva Ganapathy which looks impressive to the eyes of any Devotees visiting here. Then there is an East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Mahalakshmi who is seen in a sitting posture. Next to this is an East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Anjaneyar who is seen in a standing posture and He is known here as Sri Baktha Anjaneyar. Then there is another East facing Sub Shrine resembling the Kerala style roofing. In this Sub Shrine Sri Ayyappa Swamy is seen in a sitting posture. He is known here as Arul Tharum Iyyappa Swamy.
The Temple has an impressive East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Kasi Viswanathar who is in the form of a Shiva Lingam. Facing the Shrine of Sri Kasi Viswanathar is a Neivedhya Peedam and a Nandhi Vaahanam. There is a dried Mattai Thengai or Coconut which depicts three Tuft like structures and it is said that these represent Shiva, Maha Vishnu and Brahmma. Close to the Shrine of Sri Kasi Viswanathar is His Consort's Shrine. In this South facing Shrine Goddess Sri Kasi Visalakshi is seen in a standing posture. The rear wall of the Temple behind Sri Kasi Visalakshi Sannadhi has a South facing Chandikeshwarar embossed on it. The Temple also has a South facing Sub Shrine of Sri Kaala Bhairavar who is seen in a standing posture. The Navagraha Sannadhi of this Temple looks impressive on its hexagonal podium. The Navagraha Sannadhi is designed in such a way that the Saneeswara Bhagwan Idol in it faces Sri Kasi Viswanathar. It is due to this reasong that those undergoing the effects of Saneeswaran come to this Temple to extricate it from them. Therefore the Temple is also known as Sani Dosha Nivarthi Sthalam. Though small, the Temple has a Madapalli or Temple Kitchen for Prasadams and other Divine Rituals. In recent days the name and fame of this Temple has started spreading gradually and hence the number of Devotees have started swelling up. Vinayagar Chathurthi, Ammavasai, Sankadahara Chathurthi, Pournami, Shasthi, Kiruthigai, Panguni Uthiram, Pradosham, Visakam, Thei Pirai Ashtami and Maha Shivarathri are some of the festivals that are celebrated in a grand manner.
