The full name of the Temple is Sri Shenbagavalli Samedha Sri Veetrirundha Perumal Temple and it is located in a narrow lane in the interior of Thirumazhisai which is on the outskirts of Chennai. This Temple has an East facing 5 tiered coloured Rajagopuram. To the left of the Rajagopuram facing the street is the Sub Shrine of Sri Veera Anjaneyar. At the outset there is a Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam, a Dwajasthambam and a West facing Garudalwar Sannadhi looking towards the Moolasthanam. The entrance of the Moolasthanam is gold plated and there is a gold plated Gajalakshmi Image. There are two huge Dwara Baalakas who stand guard before the Moolasthanam and they too are decorated with gold plated. In the Sanctum Sanctorum the Presiding Deity of Sri Veetrirundha Perumal is East facing and in a sitting posture. He is flanked on either side by His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. Devotees who Pray to Him are doubly Blessed since all the Ashtalakshmis are seen within Him. On some days the Purohit removes the Crown to show the Devotees the Gajalakshmi on His forehead of the Presiding Deity. The Urchavamoorthy Idol and His Consorts are also seen in a standing posture within the Moolasthanam. This Temple is known as Maheesara Kshetram since Lord Vishnu said that He will Bless Brahma only in this Maheesara Kshetram in his full form here. Earlier He was reluctant to show His full form in Puri, Odisha. Around the Koshtam of the Moolasthanam are the Idols of Senai Mudhalvar, Sri Veetrirundha Perumal who are South facing, Sri Varadaraja Perumal is seen West facing, Sri Gadatharar, Naagar, Sri Kaalinga Narthana Krishnar, Sri Vaishnavi Devi or Sri Vishnu Durgai are seen North facing. The Temple has a South facing Paramapatha Vaasal or Sorga Vaasal and standing guard are the Idols of two Dwara Baalakas.
Unusually this Temple has a North facing Shrine of Thaayar who is known as Sri Shenbagavalli Thaayar who is seen in a sitting posture. There is a South facing Aandal Sannadhi who is seen in a standing posture and this Sannadhi is opposite to that of the Thaayar's Sannadhi. Next to the Aandal's Sub Shrine is the South facing Sub Shrine of Sri Vedantha Desigar. Then is the South facing Sub Shrine of Sri Thirumazhisai Alwar and His Urchavamoorthy Idol too is within this Sub Shrine. Generally other Temples do not have a North facing Sub Shrine for Sri Anjaneyar whereas this Temple does. He is considered a Supreme Doctor curing the ailments of all His Devotees. It is noteworthy to mention here that yong aspirants among the Devotees bring their Passport, Visa or other Employment Documents and Pray to Him. Therefore Sri Vinaya Anjaneyar is affectionately called as Passport Anjaneyar by His Devotees. The Temple has a Madapalli or Temple Kitchen for all Divine Rituals. The Temple Chariot is seen safely secured outside the Temple premises. The Sthala Viruksham of this Temple is a Mango Tree. Panguni Brhmmothsavam, Hanumath Jayanthi, Narasimha Jayanthi are some of the festivals that are celebrated in a grand manner.
