The actual name of the Temple is Sri Vembhu Nayagi Samedha Sri Kubera Eashwara Temple. It is also called locally as Sri Kuberalingam Temple. This Temple is situated slightly away from the Vedapureeswarar Temple in Thiruverkadu at a place called Sundaracholavaram. The Temple is a East facing and a small Welcome Arch. There is another entrance on the Northern side of the Temple. There is a Dwajasthambam along with a black Nandhi Vaahanam kept inside a four pillared Mandapam. Beyond it is the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Temple which is also East facing. Just outside the Moolasthanam are a pair of Dwarabaalakas in a standing posture. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Kubera Lingeswarar or Kubera Eswarar and He is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. His Consort here is Vembu Nayagi Ambal who has Her own Sub Shrine and is found in a standing posture facing South. It is unique here since the Vembu Naayagi Ambal too has a pair of Dwarabaalakis just before Her Shrine. There is a Sub Shrine for Lord Nataraja between the Kubera Eshwarar Sannadhi and Vembu Naayagi Sannadhi. This Temple is considered as the seventh Ashta Lingam in Thiruverkadu. The Temple is believed to be more than 1000 years old and the Shiva Lingam was supposed to have been excavated from near a Neem Tree which grew in a semi dried pond. Any how the recent Kumbabishekam for this Temple was done in the year 2023. There is a Sub Shrine for Ivar who are 1) Thirugnana Sammandhar, 2) Thirunavukkarasar, 3) Sundarar, 4) Manickavasagar and 5) Moorga Naayanar. Since Moorga Naayanar happens to be born in Thiruverkadu he assumes great importance. There are Sub Shrines for Sri Sannadhi Vinayagar, Iyyappan, Lakshmi Kubera Samedha Aishwareshwarar, Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar and Kaala Bhairavar. Just to the rear of the Sri Sannadhi Vinayagar is another small Sub Shrine where Nagarajar, Nagarani and Sri Vinayagar are kept and Prayed. Closer to the Dwajasthambam is a Navagraha enclosure where all the Gods are found along with their Consorts. The peculiarity of this Navagraha Sannadhi is that there is a huge and gorgeously painted Surya Bhagwan's Idol on top of this Sannadhi where he couls be seen in His Chariot driven by 7 horses. There is a small Yaaga Kundam or Homa Kundam in the outer peripheral. The Temple has two Nandhi Vaahanam made out of wood to be used on important days. The Sthala Viruksham of this Temple is Vilva Tree. Festivals like Maha Shivarathri, Makarasankaranthi, Skandi Sasthi, Thiru Karthikai, Prodosham are celebrated in a grand manner.
