Sri Vaidheeswaran Temple is located a few meters away from the main road. It is an important landmark since many Devotees in Chennai and from nearby Districts throng this Temple for any health related issues. This Temple has dual entrances with two Rajagopurams. The three tiered East facing Rajagopuam is supposed to be the Temple's Main entrance but despite this fact the three tier North facing Rajagopuram is busier since many enter the Temple through the Northern Rajagopuram. On entering the Temple through the main Eastern Rajagopuram there is a Dwajasthambam or Kodi Maram, a Neivedhya Peedam and a West facing Nandhi Bhagwan which overlooks the Moolasthanam from its Sub Shrine. The Nandhi Bhagwan of this Temple is known as Vishnu Nandhi. There is a multi pillared Mandapam on which are embossed Divine Idols and other intricate carvings. Just before entering the Sanctum Sanctorum there are Idols of Vazhithunai Vinayagar is on the left and Vazhithunai Murugan is on the right. Likewise there is a Vinayaka Idol and another Idol of Sevvai Paadham at the gateway. This Sevvai Paadham manifests Himself as Aroobam. Close to them are the Idols of two Dwara Baalakas namely Dindi and Mundi. In the Sanctum Sanctorum the Presiding Deity of Sri Vaidhyanatha Swamy is seen East facing in the form of a Shiva Lingam. Close to this is the Shrine of His Consort Thaiyalnayagi Ambal. She is seen in a standing posture facing Southwards. There are two Dwara Baalakis just before the Ambal Sub Shrine and they are known as Vijaya and Veerya. There is a coloured Gajalakhmi Idol atop the threshold of the Ambal's Shrine. Jostled between the Shrine of Sri Vaitheeswaran Swamy and Thaiyalnayagi Ambal is a Palliyarai. This Temple is full of mysterious secrets, for instance close to the Ambal's Shrine is a pillar. On one side of the pillar is the Idol of Anjaneya Swamy whereas on the other side the Idol of Avathudhu Roha Nivartheeswarar who was a Siddhar who attained Jeeva Samaadhi here. In the Mukha Mandapam there is a Navagraha Sannadhi with a steel railing and close to this is an Idol of Suryan. Around the Koshtam there are Idols for Narthana Ganapathy, Dhakshinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma, Durgai and Chandikeshwarar. In the inner peripheral The Idols of Somaskandar, Veeran, Ganapathy, Kasi Viswanthar, Visalakshi, Kumbeshwarar, Kailasanathar, Annapoorani, Mahalingeshwarar, Adhi Shankarar and Mahalakshmi could be seen. Close to this are three Chakarams installed by Adhi Shankarar and they are as follows: 1) Siva Chakkaram, 2) Sri Chakkaram and 3) Shanmuga Chakkaram. Beyond this is a small Sub Shrine of  Sri Selva Muthukumaraswamy who is flanked by Valli and Devasena. The Temple also has a West facing Naalvar Sub Shrine in which the Idols of Appar, Sundarar, Sammandhar, Manickavasagar. Close to this are the Idols of Bhairavar and Chandran. This is the only Temple of its kind with a Sub Shrine for Saneeswara Bhagawan who is East facing. The Temple has an exclusive place earmarked for lighting oil lamps. In the outer peripheral of the Temple there are two East facing Sub Shrines. Ganapathy occupies one of these Sub Shrines while the other one is meant for Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar. There is a Yaagasaalai in the outer peripheral close to the Northern Rajagopuram. The Sthala Viruksham of the Temple is Thaazhi Panaimaram and the Pushkarani or Temple Tank is known as Siddhamirtham or Vinai Theertha Pushkarani. The Temple has a Madapalli and a Ghoshala. The Pushkarani is located opposite to the Eastern Rajagopuram. This Temple has Wheelchair facilities for the elderly and disabled. Aippasi Annabishegam, Arudhra Dharisanam, Masi Magam, Pradhosham, Navarathri, Maha Shivarathiri are some of the festivals are celebrated in a grand manner. Many refer this Temple as Uthira Vaidheeswaran Kovil. This Temple is known as a Sani Dosha Nivarthi Sthalam and Sevvai Dosha Parihaara Sthalam.
