Shri Karpaka Vinayakar Temple is located on the Madha Nagar Main Road in Madanandapuram which is beyond Porur and very close to Moulivakkam in Chennai. It is believed that this Temple was built around 1994. The Temple has a 5 tiered South facing Rajagopuram which was built in 2022. The Sanctum Sanctorum of Sri Karpaga Vinayakar is East facing and on the threshold are a pair of Dwara Baalakas Idol with a Mace in their hand. Facing the Moolasthanam is a Moonjur Vaahanam and a Bali Peedam. Around the Koshtam of Sri Karpaga Vinayagar Sannadhi are the Idols of Bala Vinayagar, Dhakshinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma and Durgai. Next to this is a Shrine for Karpaganathar who is East facing and He is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva and He is found in the form of a Shiva Lingam. Facing the Shrine of Karpaganathar is a Panchaloga Nandhi Vigraham. Beyond it there is a formal Nandhi Vaahanam placed in a four pillared Mandapam along with a Dwajasthambam. Close to this Chandikeshwarar is seen in a small Shrine. The Consort of Karpaganathar is known here as Karpagambikai. She is East facing and in a standing posture in Her Shrine. Facing the Shrine of Goddess Karpagambikai is a Simha Vaahanam and a Bali Peedam. Next to the Ambal Sannadhi is the Shrine for Valli Devasena Samedha Kalyana Subramaniyar who are all East facing. There is a Peacock or Mayil Vaahanam along with a Bali Peedam facing the Shrine of Kalyana Subramaniyar. There are three Sub Shrines in this Temple which are South facing. In the first Sub Shrine are the Urchavamoorthy Idols of all the Main Deities. The centre Sub Shrine has an Idol of Lord Nataraja along with His Consort Sivagami Ambal. In the third Sub Shrine Swarna Agarshana Bhairavar is seen along with his Consort and He is holding a Trident in His hand. There is a huge multi pillared Mandapam covering all the Shrines noted above. The pillars of this multi pillared Mandapam have beautiful Images carved out on them. The ceiling too is painted gorgeously with different colours making it eye captivating for any Devotee visiting this Temple. There is a Peepal Tree and a Neem Tree around which there is an elevated cement podium and Naga Devathas Idols are kept beneath these Trees. There is a Navagraha Sannadhi wherein all the Planetary Gods are kept. There is an exclusive Sannadhi for Rama Baktha Karya Siddhi Anjaneyar. Close to this Shrine there is a Temple Office and a Temple Kitchen or Madapalli. This Temple is not a Government Temple and is under the Care of Madha Nagar Welfare Association. Since the Temple is located in a Residential locality there is a steady stream of Devotees trickling in. On auspicious days there is overwhelming number of Devotees from far and near.
