This Temple is located in Alapakkam which is part of Porur in Chennai. There is a Welcome Arch at the beginning of the street where the Temple is located. God Shiva in the form of a Lingam is the Presiding Deity here and is known by the name Sri Paaleeswarar. Goddess Parvathi is called by the name Paaleeswari. The first Kumbabishekam was done in the year 1994. There is a Sthupi here in which Vaali, Sangu Chakkaram and Garuda are here. 

This Temple has an East facing Sanctum Sanctorum in which the Presiding Deity of Sri Paleeswarar is seen as an East facing Shiva Lingam He looks resplendent and dazzling when seen in the midst of the naturally lit oil lamps. Unlike other Shiva Temples the Lingam is placed on a square pedestal instead of a circular one and hence this is an indication that the Temple was constructed during the Pallava Period.  There are Idols of Sri Nardhana Ganapathi, Sri Dhakshinamurthy, Sri Brahmma, Sri Maha Vishnu, Sri Durgai and Sri Chandikeshwarar in the Koshtam of the Moolavar Sannadhi.

The Consort of this Temple is Sri Paleeswari Ambal who is seen in Her South facing Shrine in a standing posture Blessing Her Devotees. There are Sub Shrines for Sri Ganapathy, Valli Devasena Samesdha Sri Subramaniyar, Sri Kaala Bhairavar, Sri Seetha Ramar, Sri Anjaneyar apart  from a Navagraha Sannadhi. Sankadahara Chathurthi, Pradhosham, Shasthi are celebrated here in a grand manner. Sangabishekam is performed on all Karthigai Somavaram. Devotees coming by Bus could alight at Valasaravakkam Bus Stop and ask for Thasildhar Office. This Temple is located just adjacent to Thasildhar Office in Alapakkam.
