The full name of the Temple is Sri Akilandeswari Udanurai Sri Adi Kubera Jalakandeswarar Temple. This Temple is located on the banks of Porur lake on Mount Poonamallee High Road in Porur. The Temple has a North facing 3 tiered colourful Rajagopuram. There are two Dwara Baalagas who stan guard on eihter side of the Moolasthanam. Sri Adhi Kubera Jalakandeswarar is the Presiding Deity and He is seen in a North facing Sanctum Sanctorum in the form of a Shiva Lingam. In the year 2000 this Shiva Lingam was brought out from the deep waters and this Temple was constructed thereafter. It is beleived that it is a Swayambhu Shiva Lingam and it has curative effects and does wonders to the Devotees who come and offer Prayers here. In such cases they are cured of their illness and other Health issues. The Consort is known as Sri Akilandenswari Ambal and She could be seen in Her Sub Shrine. There are Sub Shrines for Ayyappan, Panchamuga Anjaneyar, Ganapathy, Sai Baba. Naga Devathas, Kaala Bhairavar and Durga. There is a circular Navagraha Sannadhi instead of the squarish found in other Temples.  Those Childless Couples come to thsi Temple and Pray and it is believed that they are Blessed with a wonderful kid soon thereafter. This Temple is looked after by Mr.Ramachandra Swamy who performs the Poojas and all other rituals on all days. This Temple is thronged by countless number of Devotees on Pradhosham days. There is a small flower shop located outside the Temple premises. The Temple does not have any marked car parking bur vehicles could be parked outside the Temple premises within the available area. The Temple is considered as a Raahu Kethu Parihaara Sthalam.
