Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Perumal Temple is located in a hamlet called Chitravadi and the hillock on which the Temple is built is known as Simmagiri or Semmagiri and it is just outside Maduranthagam. Some Devotees in recent days have started calling this Temple as Naya Tirupathi which means New Tirupathi in Hindi. There is a North facing Mandapam and Devotees may have to climb 5 to 6 steps to reach the Temple premises at the foothill of the Temple. There is no Rajagopuram for this Temple either at the foothill or on the hilltop. At the basement there is a Dwajasthambam or a Kodi Maram and a small Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam facing the Moolavar Sannadhi. This Temple at the foothill consists of a Gopuram with an East facing Idol of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Perumal. The top of this Mandapam has a temporary roofing. On heading towards the Moolasthanam there are two Idols of Garudalwar and Anjaneyar who are East facing. The wooden door of this Mandapam has two Dwara Baalaka Idols etched on them and they face the Moolasthanam. Within this Mandapam there is an East facing Shrine made of glass panel. Seated inside this glass panel is the Presiding Deity of Sri Narasimha Swamy with Goddess Lakshmi on His left lap. This East facing Narasimha Swamy is made out of black stone and looks resplendent while sitting on top of the podium within the glass panel. The Urchavamoorthy Idol of the Presiding Deity of Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar found on the hilltop is placed in the glass panel at the foothill. To the right is a very attractive and eye catching coloured Idols of Nava Narasimhar facing all four directions and close to each one of them there is a Navagraha Idol which are also made of coloured Idols and this place is called as a Navagraha Peedam. These are a thrill to watch and they are eye captivating to the Devotees. On the left flank is the Thaayar Sub Shrine and She is known as Sri Anandhavalli Thaayar. Her Sub Shrine is East facing and She is seen in a sitting posture. On the right flank is the Sub Shrine of Sri Bhavana Narasimhar who is seen East facing under the Aadhi Seshan with Goddess Lakshmi on His left lap. Next to this is another East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Saneeswara Bhagwan with His Crow Vaahanams perched on top of His Sub Shrine. Then there is a huge 21 Feet green coloured Idol of Sri Baktha Anjaneyar who is seen West facing and in a standing posture. The podium on top of which this Anjaneyar Idol is erected looks impressive with a Sangu, Chakkaram and a Thirumann Srichurnam embossed on it.

The Temple on the hilltop wherein the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Presiding Deity of Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar is placed has to be reached by foot steps only as there is No Motorable Ghat Road facilities to reach there. Devotees may have to climb around 250 steps which are steep and uneven. Elders and Sickly could find it tough to climb it. At the start of the foot steps there are two cylindrical pillars on top of which there are two Simha Vaahanams. Those Devotees who desire to climb and reach the Temple top could carry a bottle of water with them. On reaching the Temple top Devotees may be fascinated to see the Temple built in a modern way. It resembles as though the Lion's Mouth is wide open with the Moolasthanam within it. On the outer flanks an Idol of Anjaneyar and a Garudalwar could be seen standing on either side. On top of them an Idol of Narasimhar and Goddess Lakshmi could be seen respectively. On entering the cavelike Temple which is North facing there are two Dwara Baalakas who stand guard on either side of the Moolasthanam. In the Sanctum Sanctorum Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is seen North facing and in a seated posture with Goddess Lakshmi on His left lap. The upper two arms of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar has a Sangu and a Chakkaram. His right lower arm shows the Abhaya Hastham and His left lower arm is around the waist of Goddess Lakshmi. Likewise Goddess Lakshmi's right arm too is around the waist of the Presiding Deity and this could be seen from the rear of the Moolasthanam on Swathy Nakshatram days. Devotees could circumambulate the Temple from within and they could see a Gaja Mugam on one end of the rear peripheral. Gaja Mugam means an Elephant head. This was planned and done since Dr.G.Perumal who built this Temple had a dream in which he was ordered to display the Gaja Mugam in the inner peripheral of the Temple. Devotees who circumambulate the inner peripheral can see the Idol of Sri Chakkarathalwar who is kept South facing. The present Temple Archagar Dhakshinamoorthy has to be appreciated since he responds to the phone requests of Unknown Devotees at any given time and for the way he upkeeps the Temple and conducts the Divine Rituals. Swathy Nakshathram Days, Narasimha Jayanthi, Hanumath Jayanthi are celebrated in a grand manner.

Willing Devotees who could afford can contribute towards the Temple and such Devotees can call Archagar Dhakshinamoorthy in his Mobile Number and do the needful.
