The Presiding Deity of ths Tmple is Lord Lakshmi Narasimhar who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Mahalakshmi. This Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple is located on a small hillock named Padmagiri on the main road from Chengelpet to Kanchipuram. This Temple was built by Chola Kings and the incriptions of this Temple dates back to 11th Century. The Temple is built on the norther banks of river Paalar. This Temple is located on the confluence of three rivers known as Thirumukkudal which is also known as Dakshina Prayag. There are Sub Shrines for Goddess Ahobilavalli, Lord Vishnu, and for Saints namely Nammaazhvaar, Thirumangai Aazhwar and Vishnu Chithar. There is a tall pillar and it is made out of granite. This Temple is built following the Dravidian Style of Architecture. There is a five tiered Rajagopuram, a Dwajasthambam and a Balipeedam. Being a Hill Top Temple close to the road it draws huge Devotees from nearby Kanchipuram, Chengalpet and Chennai city too.
