Chengalsoolaimedu is a hamlet close to Elavur in Gummidipoondi Taluk of Thiruvallur District. The full name of the Temple is Sri Alarmel Mangai Samedha Sri Venkatesa Perumal Temple. Some Devotees refer this Temple as Namma Tirupathi. Sri Udaiyavarkottai Temple has an East facing entrance and there is space to park a few vehicles outside the Temple premises. On entering the Temple there is a South facing Sri Thumbikai Alwar Idol beneath a Arasa Maram and a Veppa Maram which are intertwined. Close to this is an East facing Idol of Sri Kaalinga Narthana Krishnar. The Temple has a North facing Sub Shrine of Sri Ramanujar which is kept open for the Devotees on all Saturdays. Likewise there is another North facing Sub Shrine of Sri Panduranga Vittal in which He is seen standing alone with His Hands placed on His Waist. A lot of Charity work is being taken up and students and Urchins are given Rice etc. for their basic needs. 

The Temple does not have any Rajagopuram or Dwajasthambam instead there is a small Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam. Devotees cannot enter the Temple through the Eastern side but instead they may have to circumambulate and reach the Moolasthanam before which there is an East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Dhanvanthri Perumal. There ia a North facing Sub Shrine of Sri Bala Hanuman before devotees reach the Moolasthana Mandabam. There is a Sub Shrine of Sri Bhagawath Ramanujar who is seen South facing. The Urchavamoorthi Idol of Sri Ramanjujar is also seen in this Sub Shrine. Facing the Moolasthanam is a Sub Shrine of Sri Garudalwar who is seen in a West facing and standing posture. There are two huge black Dwara Balagaa Idols facing East and they stand gurad on either side of the Moolasthanam. In the Sanctum Sanctorum the Presiding Deity of Sri Venkatesa Perumal is seen East facing and in a standing posture. He is seen standing alone and looks dazzling to the eyes of His Devotees. In the same Sactum Sanctorum the Urchavamoorthi Idol of Sri Srinivasa Perumal is seen flanked by His Consorts Sri Devi and Sri Bhoo Devi. The Urchavamoorthi Idol of the Consort Sri Alarmelmangai Thaayar is also seen in the Santum Sactorum. The Temple has Thulabaara facilities in the Moolasthana Mandapam. 

The outer peripheral of the Temple has an East facing Shrine of  the Consort, Sri Alarmelmangai Thaayar who i seen in a sitting posture. To the rear of the Thaayar Sannadhi is the East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Lakshminarayana Perumal who is seen in a sitting posture with His Consort Lakshmi on His lap and armed with a Sangu and a Chakkram. To the rear of the Moolasthanam is an East facing Siva Lingam on a circular Avudai and facing this Siva Lingam is a West facing Nandhi Vahanam and another West facing Idol of Sri Anjaneyaswamy who is seen in a standing posture with folded hands. Likewise the outer peripheral has an East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy who is seen in a sitting posrture with His left arm embracing the waist of His Consort Sri Lakshmi. He is seen with His Sangu and Chakkram and looks resplendent to the eyes of the Devotees. The rear of this Temple has a Neem Tree beneath which is an Idol of Sri Baktha Anjaneys Swamy who is seen East facing and in a standing posture. Closing to this place is a building which runs the Singaram Vasugi Rural Welfare and Educational Complex run by the Temple Authorities. On circumambulating further there is an East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Andal who is seen in Her Sub Shrine in a standing posture in the outer peripheral. The Temple has a Sorga Vaasal or Paramapadha Vasal which is seen North facing and is opened only on Vaikunda Egadasi Days. This Parampadha Vaasal has lovely wooden doors on which the Dasavathara Images are seen etched beautifully. This Temple has a Sub Shrine of Sri Vishnu Durgai who is seen North facing and in a standing posture in the outer peripheral. 

Sri Vaduga Nambi Madapalli is the name of the Temple Kitchen. Facing this is a small enclosure known as Ramanujar Kudil. Aandal Thirukalayana Urchavam, Sri Ramanuja Jayanthi, Aadi Pooram, Gokulashtami, All Purattasi Saturdays, Navarathiri, Deepavali, Margazhi Mahotsavam, Vaikunda Ekadesi, Sri Rama Navami, Hanumath Jayanthi, Narasimha Jayanthi and all Full Moon Days are celebrated with great fanfare.
