Gudimallam is located close to Renigunta in Andhra Pradesh on the banks of River Swarnamukhi.. From the Main Road a rickety mud road leads us to this Temple and there are a few shops outside with an ample car parking close to the Temple. The Temple has been taken over by Archeological Survey of India. The Presiding Deity is Lord Shiva in the form of a Swayambhu Lingam and He is known as Parasurameshwara. The Lingam is believed to comprise of Shiva, Maha Vishnu and Brahmma. The Temple is reputed to be one of the oldest Temples of Andhra and the Sanctum Sanctorum is kept clean and Air Conditioned. There is a metallic Urchavamoorthy on the corridor of the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Sanctum Sanctorum lies six inches below the ground level and formerly it was called as Gudipallam and later as Gudimallam. His Consort Goddess Parvathi is known as Anandavalli Ammavaru. 6 to 7 Old Age Stones with inscriptions could be seen preserved. The Temple is well compounded with a grill gate and security men are posted. There is a counter for selling special archana tickets, donations etc. During Uthrayanam and Dakshinayanam the Sun Rays falls at the feet of the Lingam. There are Sub Shrines for Vinayagar, Subramaniya Swamy, Anandavalli Ambal, Lord Surya Bhagwan, Dhakshinamoorthy, Chandikeshwarar and Durgai. They have marked a special place at the rear of the Temple for breaking coconuts. A normal bell along with an electric gong is available. Wheel Chairs are provided to the sick and elderly. The Temple has a lovely Garden or Nandavanam. Just outside the Temple a huge Arasa Maram or a Peepal Tree beneath which Naga Devathas are found. A Holy Bull belonging to the Temple is tethered at the entrance.
