Sree Vagula Matha Temple is situated in a place called Peruru on the outskirts of Thirupathi. This is a hilltop Temple which could be seen from far and near. Vakula Devi is the Mother of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy and this Temple is believed to have built around 1110 years ago in such a way that the Mother faces the Seven Hills to have a Darshan of Her beloved Son in Thirumala Hills. The hillock on which the Temple for Vakula Matha has been built is known as Perurubanda Hillock. There is a wide Welcome Arch with an Entry and an Exit gate. The Temple is situated in a small hillock which could be easily climbed through steps and ramps which are constructed intermittently. There is a small motorable road too, but it is meant only for VIP's and Officials of TTD. The rest of the Devotees have to reach the Temple top by way of footsteps only. The hilltop Temple has a small 3 tiered East facing Rajagopuram. The Sanctum Sanctorum too is East facing and the Presiding Deity of Vahulamatha is seen in a seated posture made out of a Black Vigraham. There is a small Urchavamoorthy madel out of Metal and this too is placed within the Moolasthanam. The Gopuram on top of the Sanctum Sanctorum looks resplendant in gold colour. The outer peripheral of the Temple consists of steel railings on one side and with granite benches extended throughout the other side so that the Devotees could sit there for a while. There are huge Iron fencing all around the outer peripheral with lights. Though small, the Temple has its own Kitchen and gives Prasadam to all Devotees visiting here. The custom here is that Neivedhyam is done to the Mother here first and then only at the Thirumala Hills. Midway between the foothill and the Temple top are two places which are similar to each other with four pillars and there are benches here for the Devotees to sit and relax. The landscapping and the Gardening around the Main Temple is so eye appealing.  On the foothill of the Temple is a huge and Modern Pushkarani or a Sacred Tank which has built in recent years. There are rows of temporary shops near the Sacred Tank selling eatables, chat items and also flowers and juices.  There is  a free and spacious car parking and close to it they have built a shelter where Devotees can sit, eat and relax.  A free washroom too is available for the benfit of the Devotees. This Temple is under the Care and Control of The Thirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) and its being looked after by it so well.
