Sri Suryanarayana Bhagwan Temple is located in a busy city locality just beneath the fly over and very close to Guthi Petrol Station in Kurnool. It is in fact, a multi storeyed Temple which is East facing. There are two entrances, one entrance is from the North while the other is from the South. On the basement of the Temple is a huge function hall where Marriages and other Divine Rituals pertaining to the Temple could be performed. The actual Temple is located in the first floor of the premises and Devotees may have to climb a few steps to reach there. There is a Stone Dwajasthambam in the ground floor. The Temple has two Goshalas and the Sacred Cattles are very well taken care of. Devotees can circumambulate the Navagraha Sannadhi in the ground floor of the Temple premises. This Navagraha Sannadhi is different from those found in other Temples since all the Navagrahams are found along with their Consorts. There is a huge Tree which is sacred and Prayed and beneath it is an Idol of Dattathreya Swamy. Just before entering the Temple in the first floor is a huge black coloured Idol of Anjaneya Swamy who is West facing towards the Sanctum Sanctorum. At the threshold of the Sanctum Sanctorum are two Dwarabalagas one on each side. In the Moolasthanam Surya Narayana Bhagawan is seen majestically seated, East facing and driving His multi horses driven Chariot. Close to this is a Sub Shrine for Vinayagar and a Sivan Sub Shrine wearing a Nagabaranam. There are Sub Shrines for Arumugham, Vinayagar, Dattathreya, Maha Gowri, Sage Kashyap and Kaariya Siddhi Anjaneyar. Thulabara facilities are available in this Temple. All the pillars of the Temple have been beautifully decorated with multi coloured Idols and a Yali. Even the ceiling of the Temple is embossed with various Idols and they look so glittering to the eyes of all Devotees. In the second floor of the Temple Surya Bhagvan is found as a huge muliti colored Idol seen driving His Horse driven Chariot. This wonderful Idol could be seen from the Fly Over and also from distance places due to its massive size and gorgeous colours. To the rear of this structure Anjaneya Swamy is seen as if He is holding the everything on His shoulders. The walls of the Temple have been embossed with various colourful Idols of different Gods. The Temple has its own Madapalli or Temple Kitchen and an Annadhana Koodam for the sake of the Devotees. The Temple has a Yaaga Saala for the sake of Homam, Yaagam etc. The Temple is not a Govt Temple and is managed by the Sachidhananda Swamy Trust of Mysore. This Temple is an added attraction to Kurnool in recent days and there are many Devotees not only from nearby areas but from far flung places too to have a glimpse of this Temple.
