This Temple is also known as Sri Sivasailapathi or Sivasailanatha Swamy Temple and it is located 5 to 6 Kms away from Alwarkurichi. The full name of the Temple Sri Paramakalyani Udanurai Sri Sivasailanathar Temple and it is built on the banks of River Gadana. Devotees can enter the Temple through the Northern and Western entrances. It is believed that this is an ancient Temple and the Presiding Deity Sri Sivasailanathar who is a Swayambhumoorthy was worshipped by Brahmma, Indra, Athri Maharishi and his disciples. Since it is a Temple where the Devars and Siddhars Prayed together the vibes of the Temple are high and positive. Hence many elderly couples have their Shastiapthapoorthy and Sadhabishekam performed here. This Temple was highly praised by Appar. The West facing Rajagopuram of this Temple is five tiered and colourful to look at after the renovation. This Temple gains prominence since it is covered on 3 sides by hilly terrian and on the remaining side it is covered by River Gadana. There is a Mandapam opposite to the Temple which was built in 1905 and functions could be performed. There is a Sastha Idol close to this Mandapam facing the Moolasthanam. There is a multi pillared Mandapam and on the verge of entering the Moolasthanam there are two coloured Dwara Baalakas. Beyond it are the Idols of Kudavasal Vinayagar and Adhikaara Nandhi. Unlike other Temples the Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam is seen and then is the Nandhi Vaahanam and beyond it is the Dwajasthambam or Flag Staff. Just before entering the Sanctum Sanctorum are two black Dwara Baalakas and above them are the coloured Idols of a Shiva Lingam, Goddess Parvathy and two more Sages. In the Sanctum Sanctorum Sri Sivasailanathar is seen West facing and in the form of a Shiva Lingam. He is considered as an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Sivasailanathar is also known as Sri Sivasailapathy, Sailanathaswamy, Athreeswarar, Sailappar and Sivasaileshwarar. On one side of the Moolasthana Mandapam there are Idols of Natarajar, Sivagami Ambal and Somaskandar. Goddess Parvathy is known here as Paramakalyani Ambal. Her Shrine in this Temple is West facing and She is seen in a standing posture with four hands. She looks replendent and Her Sub Shrine looks so attractive with multiple pillars of different colours. The two huge coloured Dwara Baalagis outside Her Shrine look eye captivating. There is a coloured Idol of Gajalakshmi just before Her Shrine. There is a huge coloured Image of Shiva and Parvathy together when they presented themselves in a Kalyana Kolam to Athiri Maharishi. There are East facing Sub Shrines of Srisaila Vinayagar, Meenakshi Sundareswarar, Nellaiyappar, Ganthimathi Ambal and Salvadeeswarar. Closeby is a East facing Sub Shrine for Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar. The Images of the Arupadai Veedu viz. Thiruparankundram, Palani, Thiruchendur, Swamimalai, Pazhamuthircholai and Thiruthani have been drawn with coloured paintings. There are South facing Sub Shrines for Saneeswaran, Annapoorani, Mahalakshmi, Juradevar, Vishnu Durgai and Bhairavar. There are West facing Sub Shrines for Suryan, Kasi Viswanathar, Visalakshi, Krishnan, Chandran and 2 Gold Plated Rishaba Vaahanams. The outer peripheral has a Temple Kitchen or a Madapalli, Idols of Dhakshinamoorthy, 63 Naayanmaars, Veerabhadrar, Brahmmi, Maheswari, Goumaari, Vaishnavi, Vaarahi, Indrani, Chamundi and Palayambal. Close to these is  a Vinayagar Idol. The Temple has a well maintained Ghoshala. There is a short mud pathway leading to the Gadana River. There is a Theerthavari Mandapam here of Sri Sivasailanathar Temple. The Sthala Viruksham is a Kadamba Tree.  Vinayagar Chathurthi, Aippasi Annabishegam, Arudhra Dharisanam, Masi Magam, Pradhosham, Navarathri, Maha Shivarathiri are some of the festivals are celebrated in a grand manner. This is a rare Temple in which the Nandhi Bhagwan or Nandhikeshwarar is treated on par with Lord Shiva. It is believed that any Prayers made to the Nandhi Bhagwan is as good as Praying to Sri Sivasailanathar Himself. This Temple is renowned as a Pancha Krotha Sthalam.
