The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Nindra Nambi Perumal who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Kurungudi Valli Thaayaar. This Temple is considered as Vamana Kshetram and Dakshina Bhadri or Dakshina Vaikundam. Lord Nindra Nambi Perumal is also called as Lord Sundara Paripooranan. This is one of the 108 Divya Desam that is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This Temple has five different beautiful idols of Nambi namely Nindra Nambi, Irundha Nambi, Kidantha Nambi, Thiruparkadal Nambi and Thirumalai Nambi. This Temple also has Sub Shrines for Lord Sri Vadivazhagiya Nambi, Lord Lakshmi Narasimhar, Lord Gnanapiran, Lord Ganesha, Lord Kalabhairavar, Lord Mahendra Girinadhar, Saint Andal, Azhwars and Acharyas. This Temple has incriptions of the tenth century Medieval Chola Period indicating Grants to this Temple in the form of Sheep. In the 14th century Sundara Pandiya II gifted 25 cows for producing Ghee inorder to light the Temple complex with Ghee lamps. In the finteenth century Nayakas worked very hard to develop this Temple to its current structure. This Temple follows a strict dress code and Male Devotees are asked to remove their upper wear viz. baniyan and shirts. This Temple is maintained and kept meticulously clean by TVS Group.
