There are only two Temples dedicated to Saint Agasthiyar, one is in Ambasamudram while the other one is in Kallidaikurichi, Tirunelveli District. This Temple is located close to the Southern bank of River Thamirabharani. The Goddess here is known as Lopamudhra. History says that when everyone gathered at Himalayas  for Lord Shiva's Marriage the balance tilted to the Northern side  and Hence the Lord ordered Saint Agasthiyar to visit South to equate the balance and hence the Temple here in Kallidaikurichi. Here the Saint rests under a Tamarind Tree. This Temple is a very small one but indeed very powerful. The orign of the Temple is unknown since it's too old,  but it has been renovated multiple number of times repeatedly in the past.. The Presiding Deity is in a sitting posture facing East. Goddess Lopamudra is seen in another Sub Shrine in a standing posture. A Small Utsavar Idol for Saint Agasthiyar and his wife are seen. There are Sub Shrines for Navagraha, Ganesha, Murugan with Valli Devanai. Many villagers from in and around this area worship this God as their Kula Deiva Swamy and hence it attracts a lot of  Devotess on all auspicious days.
