Sri Manonmani Siddhar Peedam is a revered spiritual Ashram and Temple which is located close to the Old Papanasam Sivan Temple in Sivanthipuram, Papanasam of Ambasamudram Taluk in Tirunellveli District. This Siddhar Peedem serves as a genuine Gurukulam or Ashram focusing on the Vaasi Yogam, Spiritual Teachings, Siddha Literature etc. Vaasi Yogam is the traditional breathing and energy practices that they follow during the meditative spirituality. This was founded by Sri Paatu Siddhar. This Temple is naturally nestled between the Mountain framed lush green landscapes of the Western Ghats and looks a real treat to the eyes of the Devotees visiting this place. 

There is a steady trickle of Devotees visiting this place since this Temple or Peedam is amidst a picturesque ambience of Papanasam and Podhigai Hills. This region is also known as the Abode of the Great Sage Agasthiyar. Hence His coloured Idol finds a prime place and is of 27 feet in height. Other than this there are Sub Shrines for 18 other Maha Siddhars. 9 of these Sub Shrines are East facing while the other Sub Shrines are West facing. The 18 Maha Siddhars are as follows: Vanmeekar Siddhar, Pambaati Siddhar, Sivavakiya Siddhar, Bhogar, Thirumoolar, Konganar, Sattanathar, Pulipaani, Agasthiyar, Idaikaadar, Korakkar, Kuthambai, Sundaranandhan, Pathanjali, Karuvuraar, Dhanvanthri, Kamalamuni and Macchamuni. 

The Presiding  Deity of Sri Manonmani Siddhar Peedam is obviously the Divine Mother Sri Vaalaikumari Manonmani Amman who has a beautiful North facing Shrine with a mammoth coloured Idol of around 96 feet tall. Beneath this Idol of Sri Vaalai Kumari Manonmani Amman is a diminutive Idol of Sri Bala Thiripura Sundari which could be seen at its base. The 27 feet tall coloured Idol of Sri Agasthiyar is South facing and looks eye captivating when seen with the rear ambience of a Rajagopuram. Beneath this huge coloured Idol of a seated Agasthiyar are three South facing Sub Shrines. The first Sub Shrine has the Idols of Sri Vinayagar, along with those of the Naalvars viz. Sri Thirugnana Sammadhar, Sri Thirunavukkarasar, Sri Sundarar and Sri Manickavasagar. The central Sub Shrine has a wonderful black Idol of Sri Agasthiyar. The extreme South facing Sub Shrine has a black Idol of Sri Murugan. The Temple also has a South facing Sub Shrine of Sri Sastha or Sri Ayyappan. The Temple has 4 black North facing Idols of Sri Bala Thirupura Sundari, Sri Valaikumari Manonmani Amman, Sri Shivan and Sri Parvathi which look dazzling when seen.

This Temple could be easily reached by two wheelers, autos and cars for which there is ample vehicular parking space. Since Government or Private Buses do not  ply to this Temple it is tough for other Devotees to reach here. This Temple attracts lots of Devotees on the last Saturdays of every Tamil Month during which time Devotees are fed with Annadhanam. Devotees must be wary that there are no shops nearby to sell Flowers, Garlands etc. Male Devotees can wear Pant, Shirt and Dhoti while Female Devotees are allowed with Sarees, Salwar Kameez with a Shawl.
