The actual name of the Temple is Sri Seetha Samedha Swarna Kalyana Ramar Temple and it is located in a distant village called Gnayiru which is in Ponneri Taluk in Thiruvallur District on the outskirts of Chennai. The Presiding Deity or Moolavar is Sree Swarna Kalyana Ramar and He is seen here in the Sanctum Sanctorum along with His Consort Seetha and Lakshmana. He is unique here since He is founs with four arms and the Sangu and Chakkaram held by Ramar are found to be swaped unlike other Temples. He holds the Sangu in His right hand and the Chakkaram in His left hand in this Temple.  His Consort Seetha is found sitting on the lap of Sri Rama. Many in and around this Temple refer this Presiding Deity as Bhadrachala Ramar. In Bhadrachalam Sri Rama is found along with a Venn Kodai but here that Venn Kodai is not to be found. The Urchavar is found leaning His head towards one side and therefore He is called as Sevi Saitha Ramar which implies that He would listen to the Woes and Prayers of His Devotees. It is said that the Idols of Chakrathalwar and Lakshmi Narayana Perumal were excavated and dug out from the Earth when a School building was under construction.  Hence it was thought appropriate to build a Temple here instead of a school and the Idols of Chakrathalwar and Lakshmi Narayana Perumal were installed. The Maragatha Pachai Idols of Chakrathalwar and Yoga Narasimhar are so eye captivating that every Devotee visiting this Temple would be glued there for a while. A few years later an Anjaneyar Vigraham or Idol was brought from Andhra Pradesh and installed here. There is a separate Sub Shrine for Naga Devathas too. There is a tinned roofing area at the rear of the Temple where free Annadhanam is conducted every Sunday. Every 2nd and last Sunday of the Month the Temple conducts a Sudharshana Homam and during these days a special pooja is done with a Mattai Thengaai for each individual. Those who are Childless and Devotees who are yet to get married come here with a specific prayer and it is said that their wishes are fulfilled.  This Temple could be easily identified with its name board and compound wall and because it is situated next to the Shivan Temple.
