Sri Vijayaraghava Vaigunda Perumal Temple is located in Vellakulam hamlet and the place where this Temple has been built is called as Pozudhuvidindhanmedu. This comes under the jursidiction of Aladu Panchayat Union. Infact Vellakulam is equidistant from Ponneri and Minjur. Some call this Temple as Vaigunda Perumal Temple whereas others call it as Sri Vijaya Ragava Perumal Temple too. The Temple has a small North facing gate and on either side of the gate are two Idols of Garudalwar. There is No Rajagopuram in this small Temple. Instead there is a big Neivedhiya Peedam followed by 4 smaller Neivedhiya Peedams and a Dwajasthambam or Kodi Maram. A Garudalwar Sannadhi is seen West facing towards the Moolasthanam. The Temple has a small coloured Gopuram atop which Sri Vijayaraghava Vaigunda Perumal is seen in a sitting posture flanked on either side by His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. On the extreme right and left end of the Gopuram are two coloured Idols of Garudalwar and Anjaneyar.
At the threshold of the Moolasthanam are two huge Dwara Baalaka Idols who stand guard to the Presiding Deity of Sri Vijayaraghava Vaikunda Perumal. Close to these two Dwara Baalaka Idols are two more Perumal Idols who have not been identified yet. They are believed to have been found in the same viscinity of the Temple. In the East facing Sanctum Sanctorum Sri Vijayaraghava Vaigunda Perumal is seen East facing and in a sitting posture. He is seen with 4 Arms here. The upper two Arms hold a Sangu and a Chakkram. His right lower arm is seen in a Abhaya Hastha posture whereas His left lower arm is seen resting on his lap. The Presiding deity in the Sanctum Sanctorum is flanked on either side by His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. The anomaly of this Temple is that the Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi are seen to tilt their head on one side as though they are listening to the fervent Prayers of the Devotees. The Urchavamoorthy Idols of Sri Vijayaraghava Vaigunda Perumal and His Consorts, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy along with Thaayar and Andal are also seen within the same Moolasthanam. The Main Deity is believed to be made of Saligramam and more than 1000 years old. In the Maha Mandabam there are South facing Idols of Sri Nammalwar, Sri Thirumagai Alwar, Sri Ramanujar or Udayavr and Manavala Maamunigal. The Urchavamoorthy Idols of them are kept close to the 4 Main Idols. The Consort of Sri Vijayaraghava Vaikunda Perumal is known as Maragadhavalli Thaayar who is seen in an East facing Shrine in the outer peripheral of the Temple. Sri Marakathavalli Thaayar is seen in a sitting posture Blessing Her Devotees. The Urchavamoorthy Idol of Maragadhavalli Thaayar also is seen within Her Moolasthanam.
The outer peripheral of the Temple has an East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Chakkathalwar in which Sri Yoga Narasimhar too is seen within the same Sub Shrine but facing West. The Andal's East facing Sub Shrine too is located in the outer peripheral of the Temple and She is seen in a standing posture. Close the the Andal's Sub Shrine are 4 South facing Sub Shrines which are joined together. Nammalwar, Thirumangai Alwar, Sri Ramanujar or Udayavar and Manvaala Maamunigal Idols are found in the 4 South facing Sub Shrines. Then comes the West facing Sub Shrine of Hanuman who is known here as Baktha Anjaneya Swamy and He is seen in a standing posture. Vaikunda Ekadesi and Margazhi Aandal Thirukalyanam are some of the festivals celebrated in this Temple attracting huge number of Devotees from far and near. The Temple has a Madapalli for its Daily Rituals and for offering Prasadhams to the Devotees. There is a Vaahana Mandabam along with facilities for observing Yaagam or Homam. The Temple has a Ghoshala with an attendent to take care of the livestocks.
